Re: spare
My friend on the team just verified, there is no limit to how many spare rounds you can carry for single loading for damaged or dropped round. He said some carry 8, some 6, some 12.

Re: spare
I don't believe there is a restriction on how many spares one is allowed to carry. Occasionally a round stovepipes, is damaged by a short stroke/misfeed, there is a fail to fire, or the athlete accidentally ejects a live round; therefore one is allowed to single feed spare rounds as long as one does...

Looking for info about NRA Prone School at Seizland Rifle Club
Hello Everyone, I am looking for information and feedback on the annual NRA Prone School at Seizland Rifle Club. I attended the mid-Atlantic 6400 last year and one of the competitors there highly recommended the school. I have emailed the club a number of questions, but haven't yet received a reply....

Re: Krale
I purchased an air rifle from them over a year ago. The transaction was flawless and they shipped very quickly. My credit card required assurance that I requested this transaction, but beyond that-perfect.
I can't comment regarding importing a smallbore rifle.

Re: SK Long Range Match
I did some ammo testing last weekend with SK Long Range Match and Lapua Midas +. Full disclosure, my bench setup and benchrest skills aren't the best, but.... All groups were 10 shots at 100 yards shot from a bench, with the rifle rested front and rear; groups measured center to center. It was prett...

Re: New member
Yes I'm familiar with the different rules, although likely I'd be shooting HFT which isn't shot sitting. Still figuring out body position stuff. Getting the butt into my shoulder rather than on the head of the biceps is challenging. Isn't Hunter Field Target shot while sitting on a bucket and resti...

Re: Biathlon Rifle Weight?
The Biathlon rifle has to weigh at least 3.5 kilos (7.7 pounds) unloaded per the rules. There is some good information on the Wikipedia page for "Biathlon Rifle." I have a friend attending one of the biathlon development camps. He told me the common belief is that it is easier to teach a g...

Similar BS post to the one from November 3rd by "ManshaKegril."
The National Rifle League will begin its season in January. We are not anywhere near Week 10 yet.

Re: Question about rifles
SPAM! The OP registered yesterday, and soon after posted a generic question that has nothing to do with Olympic rifle (or any formal target discipline). I wonder if the question was copied from another forum? The question shows up in two Reddit posts. Not sure what that means. The question does not...

Re: What gloves are you all using?
There was a pretty good discussion on gloves last spring with some good suggestions: https://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=62179&p=298594#p298594 I had been using a Champion's Choice fingerless glove with Top Grip and I bought a Monard Proliner Prone glove to try based on that threa...

Re: "Shot a card"
So a multi-bull target is referred to as a card? Every formal match I have ever participated in has used multi-bull targets (indoor prone, 4P, and 3P: outdoor smallbore prone). No one at these matches say they shot a card when they were finished. Maybe I haven't been around enough. I am aware of att...

"Shot a card"
Why do folks use the phrase, "shot a card." Is this phrase used as it seems to me, when someone has shot a target that is scored? Obviously they didn't shoot a "card". Were targets made from card stock?
Why "shot a card?"

Re: ammo testing
Can you shoot better groups with your MK II than with your Anschutz? Try it. Spend some time on the bench with both rifles and a variety of ammo. If you shoot the MK II noticeably better, you'll have answered the question whether it is you or the rifle. I would recommend trying some SK Standard+, if...

Re: Can anyone tell me how to socially distant
How do you sanitize a wooden stocked bolt-action target rifle between use by two kids? Don't want to ruin the finish. How do you clean all the nooks and crannies around the action and sights? This has to be able to be done pretty quickly during practice because we have a limited number of training ...
