Don't try to figure out the "why" behind the rimfire sporter rules. They just are. There's no objective reason that will satisfy you for almost all of the rules in that sport. Most local matches will let you shoot whatever you bring, though you will probably be shooting out-of-competition,...

We shoot indoor 4P Smallbore (we're mostly highpower shooters trying to get through the winter, so we include a sitting stage), twice a month at the Elkhart Rifle & Pistol Club, on Saturday mornings. On the other Saturdays, we also mix in rimfire sporter and smallbore prone. When the weather is ...

The way I think about it is on the windage knob, "R" and "L" mean "from the right" or "from the left." The elevation knob says "H" and "T". I have no idea what those stand for in German. But in my head I read them as "from the head&quo...
