The type of trigger has no effect on firing impulse ( I hesitate to call it recoil ) . It does effect front sight movements caused by less than perfect operator technique . Impulses caused by trigger manipulation cause front sight movement . Most shooters describe the LP10 trigger as "good &quo...

Bubba , stance and grip are somewhat individual . As far as stance goes , start with feet a shoulder width apart prolly 45 degrees with respect to target , check natural point of aim . ( basically , pick up your pistol , bench it , close your eyes - bring it up and see where the sights bear in relat...

It's about consistancy of weight , diameter , and general cleanliness /QC . Pellets are so cheap , you might as well get good ones . Our host has some good stuff . As regards ammo quality , I think you should start as you intend to continue . Good pellets wont turn your eights into tens , but consis...

Cheng , get your head into some of the articles on our hosts site , try also " Nygord's notes" . Concentrate mainly on your front sight - three objects at once is an optical impossability . All of the above explain it far better than I ever could .

Cheng , glad you are having fun with the LP50 , a truly great pistol . At this stage dont get too hung up on scores , try for groups . Hard as it may seem try to work on the shot process . The dry fire mag for the LP50 will be usefull in this regard . Mostly , try to balance serious training with si...

I feel like I opened a can of worms , not my intention . Many shooters I have talked to seem very interested in an lp10 with an electronic trigger , and think it would be the best of both worlds .

IP Shooter , the Styer LP10 has better firing impulse dampening ( I hate to use the term recoil ) . Personally , I own a Styer and a Morini ( electronic of course ) - I am hardput to say which I prefer . I find that I have started to produce almost equal scores , now that I have started to give them...

Will Styer ever produce an electronic trigger ?

Personally , I think an LP10 with an electronic trigger would be a dream come true . Not that I'm complaining about the existing trigger . What say you pundits ?

No question , you cant go wrong with the FWB 700 . Here in Canada all three are pretty close in price , its a question of dealer preferance . The 700 is an impecable rifle . That said , i'm enjoying my Styer , and it comes thru for me . If I had my time over again I probably would have got a FWB 700...

The Anchutz 9003 has a rather tinny feel to it , which I find a bit disconcerting . It also doesn't come with sights , the Styer comes with basic sights . It really comes down to what you are comfortable with , at least in Canada pricing is pretty close . I enjoy the takedown feature of the Styer . ...

It's perfectly fine to dry fire the LP50 , either by cocking it each time , or in the alternate to use the dry fire mag ( little orange fella ) . The only cardinal rules are not to crank the velocity up too high ( it will not cycle on semi ) and do dot play with the sear adjustment ( the manual indi...

The barrel mounting system is a wee bit more rugged on the 110 , there are more adjustments possible . The takedown feature has been simplified ( one allen bolt rather than latches . Sight riser blocks come with the 110 . The foresight is 22mm rather than 18 mm . The woodwork is plain jane black ( t...

Grab it ! We have a fine LP1 and a few Walthers at our club , their owners are pretty happy . The equipment needed for C02 is cheaper than a high performance hand pump or a scuba tank . It's a lot easier to find an outfit who will fill a C02 cylinder than than to convince some dive shops to fill a n...

Deviceboy , our host would certainly give you top notch support on anything you bought from him . I personally think the LG110 is a tight little package . I dont regret the purchase at all . pointingdevices , it's what works for you . That said , the FWB 700 is a front runner . Then again the Walther offerings have done very well recently in the hands of the Indian team . You need to factor in dealer support , availability , availability of service etc . Like John Wayne said in Rio Brav...

Cheng , if possible you should try and find a good club . Home practice is good , but practice with others , and a bit of constructive competition is better . It can shorten your learning curve . Glocktalk has all kinds of targets . That said many find it better to buy targets . Target paper is designed to tear cleanly , leaving round holes ( due to short fibers ) . Ink and paper are expensive , and unless you can get a lot of free photocopies at work , is cost prohibitive . The color is als...

Sounds about right , my understanding is that you cant get an LP50 to do much over 500 . 480-500 should be ok. If velocity is adjusted too high it will not function reliably in semi auto . Once dialed in they are extremley reliable . Do not go anywhere near the sear adjustment screw . ( your manual ...
