A Styer LP10 , an LP50 , and a Morini short . Depends on my mood , guess I can't make up my mind . They are all great . I'm with Don Nygord on this issue , these are truly the peak of the gunmakers art .

Just like a Styer , cock the bolt , bring it forward till you feel the first mechanical resistance .

Compete in as many local matches as you can . Dont get hung up on yourself relative to others , it will kill a lot of your enjoyment . If you are consistently breaking 500 after four months , that doesn't sound too bad . Time to do a bit of dry fire training , separate from live practice . Keep your...

Weights do two things basically , they dampen muzzel movement , and fine tune balance . If you are happy with balance leave well enuff alone , to be effective at controlling moment of inertia , they need to be as close to the muzzel as possible . In terms of stabalizing the muzzel/front sight , muzz...

I wear an extra large dress glove , and a medium regular fits me well . I cant imagine how big your hands would be to warrant a large .

I had both Knoblocs and Vargas , both were good . I passed the Knoblocs on to a new shooter , to help get him started . The most important thing is to find a good shooting litertate eye doc.

The frontsight element rotates , and has three available widths , the compensator is different , no barrel shroud , weight bar on trigger guard , which some say is a better location . I believe some older ones do not have barrel porting - ported barrel would be preferable . It would serve you well i...

The LP1 was/is a world class AP , some would say better than the LP10 . Dont let CO2 scare you off , it's available anywhere there is a fire extinguisher shop . If you can get a sharp deal on an LP1 , take it . Th Anchutz is basically a different interpretation of the LP10 theme , cant really go wro...

If the SSP rifles are anything to judge by , the 100 should be very reliable , and have a pretty nice trigger to boot . SSP's intrigue me , I'll deffinatly get one some day . It would be good if you could find out how much the 100 and 103 differ , and if parts will or won't be a problem .

I'm guessing you will be getting parts out of the states or europe , you may well find guys at your club who are capable of helping you install the parts . At a guess sending a gun out of the country for repair would be a problem . Might be an idea to ask around locally , you might find quite a bit ...

FWIW the fwb p40 is a fine pistol with an excellent trigger , I have seen/handled a few Pardini AP's , I like their SSP , regretably they aren't sold very agressivley in Canada . The examples I have seen had nice triggers . I would guess that support / parts would be a big issue for you , in your lo...

The Morini short with the electronic trigger is a very nice rig . The same can be said of the LP2 . Try both if you can , both are excellent pieces . I own both a Morini short electronic , and an LP10 - after nearly a year I still cant make up my mind . If I were to go the Styer route , I would go w...

bubba , any well made pellet of a given weight and diameter will perform well . Some pistols prefer a given weight and a given diameter . At the level most of us shoot , any good quality makers product will probably work well . Good manufactuers being outfits like Vogel ( our host's ) , JSB , RWS , ...
