CAREFULLY put the LONG end of the HIGH QUALITY wrench all the way STRAIGHT into the screw head. Hold the SHORT end of the wrench and turn with your FINGERTIPS.
Screws do NOT have to be EXTRA TIGHT on MATCH DAY...don't ask how I learned that one.

Re: Disabled shooting rules
Hi Marty, Thank you for the update and sorry to hear that your neuropathy has worsened. Since your condition has changed, I suggest you contact Dr. Logar to update that and specifically ask about elbow support. I am not familiar enough with the NRA precedents/rules to know the answer. I do know that...

Re: Disabled shooting rules
Marty, There are a few different answers to your question. NRA has a waiver process for Adaptive Shooting https://adaptiveshooting.nra.org/ I believe they will review your info and let you know what you can do to compete in most NRA matches. If Dr. Joe Logar is still there, he is an amazi...

Re: Interpreting Targets — Rings of 9s
Sounds like you are doing lots of things right and have good self-awareness. I really like that you are bringing the outside edge of the group in (few 8s). Deciding to reject questionable shots is quick. Refining hold takes a long time and concerted effort, including training hold specifically witho...

Rifle Coach Schools
Would you like a Level 1 NRA/USAS/CMP Rifle Coach School in your area? How about one taught by an Olympic Medalist and former National Rifle and Para Coach? FYI, Any coach candidates affiliated with a club with a Midway USA Team Endowment account would receive $100 off per person. PM me here to find...

Re: Pellets Used at Carl Walther to Test Walther LG400 Monotek
If you are trying to find pellets that work well in your rifle, please consider using a test vise (carefully) to try a variety of brands and sizes. The one best lot may not be the same brand or size as other good lots. Ideally, work with others in your club or area to combine assets so you all get a...

Re: Prone training with a 10 m rifle.
Nicolas,
In the US we have lots of juniors shooting 3P air rifle.
Note that the scores will be quite a bit higher since the target is easier and you will be indoors.
Usually the rifle & ammo combination is more accurate and there is almost no recoil either.

Re: KK500
Looks like you are seeing the same rifle on both the waltherarms.com (US Importer) website and carl-walther.com (Manufacturer). Your profile does not list your location at all. Some buyers choose by proximity, some by presence at matches, recommendations or comfort level, in-stock availability, etc....

Re: KK500
There are 3 different barrel options too:
650 mm light (thinner diameter)
650mm regular
690mm regular (heaviest)
You should specify R or L hand and Walther does have different size grips too.

Re: Karl KENYON trigger.
That trigger has some serious mojo!!!
Having Karl work on your gun is like having Yoda work on your light saber!
Having the greatest Olympic shooter of the 20th century use your trigger on top of that???
WOW!
That rifle may not fire unless pointed at the ten ring!

Re: Karl KENYON trigger.
When I moved to the OTC in 1985 and started training full time, it quickly became obvious to me that I needed a different trigger to fit my needs. I got a trigger from Karl, but also wished for a two-stage, which I don't think he made back then. Paul Ha was a club member and had access to a very nic...

I just helped an athlete with this at Camp Perry.
Once you take the grip off and watch the pieces move, it is quite clear which screw to turn (#2, CW).
Note the terminology in the manual may be different than what you are used to.

Will your junior be at JOs this month?
If so, please have him/her visit me at the Walther booth and I can help with buttplate adjustment and fit.

Re: Qualifying as disabled.
Check with USA Shooting to see if they will have a classifier at USANC or WAG or any other major matches you might attend.
That would give you a US-valid classification. IF you qualify for an international team, you'll get a full classification at your first WSPS competition.

The amendment has the word PROPOSED atop the column highlighting changes and the word NEW atop the column ...

Re: Lg 400 run out of rear sight adjustments
Did you add a matched set of risers to both front and rear? It is not normal to run out of adjustment range. Tim's suggestion will solve your problem and you are also welcome to post photos to make it easier to diagnose. I also suggest raising your front sight as close to the legal limit as possible...
