One thing that will cause erratic shooting is oil under the loading ramp.
Remove the action off the stock and remove the ramps. Clean and rebuild, test.

Being 68 I can relate to these vision problems when sighting in the prone position. My problem is a mirage or ghostly circle that sits at about 12o/clock and is most annoying. If I remove the cheek piece and use a rest I get a clear sight picture. My optometrist can only sugest that it is my old fac...

Ghost circle

Hi
I have a problem with the front sight in that a ghost, mirage or reflection of a circle that sits on top of the sight circle (black) when I am taking aim.
I have checked for dirty sights etc. Has anybody out there had the same problem and managed to remove it.

I purchased a 1913 aluminium stock and my 1607 round bottom action fitted straight into it. However I discovered the action touching the stock in places. But an hour with a Dremel tool soon and I had enough clearance.

I also have a 1607 and I was informed that the 16 series was an intrerim model and all the serial numbers end in an X. A few of the more informed shooters that I have discussed this with all claim that the barrels were some of the best produced by Anschutz. My rifle in the test bench shoots very tig...

Target height

Can anybody on the Forum supply me with the height to set targets on a 25 yd range. This is prone shooting, indoors and as such is not covered in the ISSF regulations.

If you purchase a 2213 stock your action will fit straight into it. The bedding is in the stock and is a sort of "Neoprene" do not try and remove it.

A few of us down here have done the swap and have found the exercise well worth it.

Ihad the same happen with my 1407 which was bedded into the wooden stock with hard resin. When I restocked it with an Anschutz aluminium with its soft bedding material the resonating had gone.

16 series

According to my info downloaded from Anschutz the "16" series was made between 1974 - 1979. Serial #143655 - 182155 and the serial number had an "X" suffix. Also the new bolt was the first to have the bent handle with a plastic ball, instead of the all in one straight handle and ...

I imported a pistol from Australia 2 years ago, via parcel post and had no problems. All I had to deal with was customs and to pay the duty.

Eley

I have some Eley Club which I use in training. In a box of 50, I have shot 23 and of that 23, 4 only ignited the prima. This resulted with three shots just hitting the target, (25yd indoor range) and one two thirds of the way down the barrell. So I put an enquiry to Eley regarding batch #3105-30167 ...

It is now a week and still nothing from Eley Ammunition, UK. Perhaps I will have to go and knock on the front door and wake them up!!!
Unfortunately a bit far from NZ.
