Re: Used FWB 65 From E-bay
If you end up having to keep the air pistol, I'd contact an expert on getting it back to shooting condition. I highly recommend either our host, pilkguns.com or http://www.iss-internationalshootersservice.com My advice on buying from a total stranger is to buy from an individual who has been a membe...

Re: Anyone using Armscor Std Vel 22 ammo?
Jack, can you expand upon this? It is always a temptation to buy the cheapest ammo, even after spending a couple of grand or more on a pistol. That one thing about bullseye pistol shooters hasn't changed over the years.jackh wrote:Armscor is not even up to practice level. It shoots, that's about all.

I'm curious as to how many shots were fired for each group and the pistol used. Were these groups fired in a machine rest?

Re: Cost to ship air rifle????
I'm looking to buy an air rifle, and wondering how much I am going to have to pay for shipping? Can anyone tell me an average shipping price for an air rifle weighing roughly 10lbs, plus a case? Thank you! The U.S. Postal Service might be the most reasonably priced. There are no restrictions on shi...

Re: Can I save my club from itself?
The action disciplines are more attractive to the newer crop of handgun owners. One doesn't have to put in so much effort to become reasonably proficient. There are so many other shooting sports to choose from today and other attractions, from video games to golf for a young person with less free ti...

Re: 50m Free Pistol dropped from W/C
It isn't about tv coverage IMHO. Although the US has a large percentage of gun ownership among the population, few are interested in competitive shooting and fewer still are interested in international style shooting. On average gun owner forums, there is little interest in shooting pistols beyond s...

Re: DPM Pistol Recoil Reduction System
Springco makes a similar system. I have an old modified 1911 spring guide I used to use on my DCM "hardball" 1911. It seems to cushion the slide in its final rearward movement. I don't know exactly how useful they are or if they increase longevity of 1911's. When tuned to the right recoil ...

The 2017 National Precision Pistol Champ, Shue, shot a Marvel conversion. I don't know what pistol Henderson (.22 champ) was shooting, but from photos, it looks like a highly modified Hammerli Trailside.

Re: 1911 Series 80 - are theses used anywhere for bullseye?
Is this 1911 series 80 platform used in bullseye 45's at all? My advice is that if you already own one or can get one at a price that is a steal, go for it. Otherwise I'd get a basic series 70 type 1911, like the Springfield Armory Range Officer (http://www.springfield-armory.com/1911-series/). It'...

Re: Refills from a bulk CO2 tank question
I've had CO2 and PCP. It is less hassle for me to get a scuba tank filled than it was a CO2 tank. The guns shoot equally well, but CO2 is temperature sensitive to outside air temperature and you should weigh your cylinders so as not to overfill them. You can cool the cylinders by bleeding off CO2 in...

I know that there are reduced international targets for free pistol, so it can be shot on 50 yard ranges. I'm not so sure about the other way around.
