Re: Starter Air Pistol

Your IZH weights are a little off. Here's the results for two I actually put on the scales: IZH-46 1090gr IZH-46M 1170gr Hey, man, I´m just refering to weights given at websites, as I do not own, and never will own, an Izzy 46. A fancy red-laminated wood grip- does it make an ugly gun any better ? ...

Re: Starter Air Pistol

The Artemis PP20, - some slight similarities to the Steyr LP 10? No? Made in China, I believe, a budget "copy". What to expect about the build quality? No unbiased reviews available yet, but if may turn out to be a reliable gun, it may become an alternative to the IZZY 46 (the plinker/clun...

Bullseye shooters pussies? No way

Nah, the bulleye aficionados are the real athletes of handgunning. The real guys.
The "sprayers", those who do not know, or are not able to, aim and fire a handgun properly, - those are the "pussies". Did I say "sprayers"?

High End Air PCP air rifles

Hi. Recently bought two secondhand air rifles; Hatsan BT 65 RB .177, and Diana Stormrider .177. The Hatsan is very heavy, sturdy, the Diana Stormrider is leightweight, none are regulated, but I plan to install regulator into each of them to improve consistency and accuracy (Huma or Lane). But, I am ...

im often in the upper 560s and I have topped 570 several times this year. Here's the Top 8 scores from Day One at the Olympic Trials last year at Benning: 577 569 572 573 572 567 568 562 . . . just sayin' . . . . Wow!! Great scores! I also shoot such scores regularly, but only in my dreams. The cut...

Avoid canting? If canting brings a more relaxed hold of your gun, you may well cant the gun. Canting does no harm if it is consistent.

Not an olympic dicipline any more.
But free pistol 50 metres is still alive:

@ "Green_Canow": Thanks for your considerations about the IZZY, and shooting sport in genereal. 5 times a week, but 7 months a years only. Get yourself an informal AP range in your basement. Less than 10 m will do, too. To fill in those missing 5 months.. 46m and LP10 are my “mixed team”. ...

Re: Who went to a compact AP from a full size?

Just curious how many people may be shooting a full sized air pistol using a compact air cylinder. Reduce weight and change center of gravity? In this topic I´m missing the term "barrel time". Think that comes into play when changing to a shorter barrel (= compact model). Reduced barrel t...

Re: Caution when purchasing new IZH 46

In my country (the USA) we shoot FIREARMS. Pellet arms are for kids. The "sprayers" shoot real firearms, yes - but they (the sprayers, not the guns) more often than not suffer from mediocre hitability. Enter the IZZY... I bought mine used a number of years ago for $350. I'm hooked on the ...

You must be really spoiled with the top tier pistols with all the bells and whistles to call the 46M a "fair plinker". My particular Izzy, can stand on its own accuracy-wise against my Steyr LP10 and FWB’s shooting from a bench rest. From a BENCH REST you wrote, .. but in a competition yo...

Re: Changing LP10 absorber springs to EVO 10 spring?

During adjustment of the piston travel of the absorber of my older LP 10, one of the three delicate small springs got lost. I then pullet the one-piece plastics "tension ring" (spring) from my LP 10 Evo E and replaced the small springs with this spring. That was last fall. Seems to wook ok...

The receiver of my CM 84E closes with quite some resistance, even when chamber is empty. Is this intensional/normal for the CM 84E?
