Re: advice on starting up an old CO2 pistol and tank?
You needn't worry about corrosion in the CO2 tank since there is no water in it. Well, hopefully.Pressuretesting of the thank is performed by filling it with water, then pressurize it. The test pressure in my country for a CO2 tank is 175 bars. If some lazy, or ignorant, operator at the shop does n...

Re: Fps drop & accuracy
My old FAS 6004, many, many years back, had a pellet velocity of about 360 - 380 fps, a tad less than my somewhat similar AP, but even older Walther LP 2.
Your velocity readings are way too low. Something is apparently wrong.

Re: CCI 975CC Ammo?
Most barrels are calibrated for SV 40gr ammo, try that. Reeeeaaaally ? And what ballistics reference does this come from ? .22 short ammunition for example has a 29 grain projectile and .32 s&wl and .38 spl. ( as with other calibres ) use a wide range of bullet weights . The correct link is bet...

Re: LP5 Cycle Problems
If air pressure in the cylinder gets too low, the gun will not cycle. After that, manually cocking and firing the gun several times, the valve may remain open, and empty the cylinder completely, or at least leak air until you cock the gun again. But I think you charged your cylinders prior to firing...

Re: Feinwerkbau P44 inconsistent trigger
Owned a FWB P44 for some time, then traded it off: If an inconsistent trigger let-off-weight is the only issue about this gun, then you are in luck. 1. Trigger stop: If adjusted to tight, that may interfere with sear engagement. 2. Sear engagement: If to "short", then trigger let-off weigh...

I´d better consider the Crosman Vigilante .177 revolver too, I recon. Great value for the money, you said. Maybe I´ll trade in my Steyr LP10 for one?Daniel44114 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:02 pm I have a Crosman Vigilante revolver and for the money, it's probably the best value out there.

Re: They're just crazy out there
For rifle athlete scoring near å perfect score (590 - 600, decimals not counted) a search for the perfect pellet is time well spent. But for AP-pistoleros less so. You are the one to blame for those 9.7, 9.8, and 9,9 s. at air pistol, not the pellet. I even use cheap "basic" pellets for my...

3) Useless warranty service: … The pistol is returned to the factory to be repaired, and is shipped back to the customer basically untouched. Had one such bad experience many years ago, with a Walther LP 2 , a single stroke pneumatic. https://www.google.no/search?q=Walther+Lp+2&tbm=isch&sou...

I used to have a MK III and by fat the worst pistol I ever used Nah, that sounds a bit exaggerated. Or you just got a bad lemon. From my experiences the Ruger is a fairly reliable plinker, but not a gun to shoose for target work. Lucky you, you have truly got an extraordinary well behaving Walther ...

This thread under the heading "Olympic pistol"? There aint much "Olympic" about the izh 46 m. An ungainly, clumsy, non-appealing piece of iron. Why buy yourself problems when there are western-european high quality APs available? I just don´t get it. I´ve handled and fired an izh...

Re: Walther LP500; any good?
According to owners manual the trigger unit has to be removed from the frame for charging. Remove grip, then unscrew to bolts to remove the unit from the frame. Charge, then reinstall. I´ll recharge in the future, and let you know.

Re: Walther LP500; any good?
Got my Walther 500 E short time ago. Have owned a Steyr LP Evo E for some time. Pros and cons, in my humble opinion: - Walther 500 E has no on/off switch for the electronic trigger unit. Unit activates when the trigger is pulled the firste time for the shooting session. Auto shut off, 20 - 30 min. -...
