Yes, they are interchangeable.
It does become somewhat of a pain adjusting the trigger weight to centerfire rules. They are not particularly repeatable. Have a trigger gauge handy.

Steve, I would tend to define things as performance always being some percentage of your potential. In other words, your performance can never exceed your potential. At an early or mid point in training, I think it is often more beneficial to focus on improving performance. This is akin to a novice ...

Pete, I'd like to kill two birds with one Pardini, so to speak. One barrel and shroud with an attached scope mount for bullseye, and the factory barrel/shroud for ISSF. Taking the Docter red dot off and on is tearing up the rails on both the gun and mount more than I'd like, and the re-zeroing gets ...

Anyone?
Anyone have Falcon Machining info?
(Anyone...Anyone? Bueller, Bueller...)
Keith
And sorry about the gratuitous Ferris Bueller reference.

Anybody know if Falcon Machining (Lou Lombardi) is still in business?

230 FMJs
I use both traditional FMJ from Remington and Winchester as well as Rainier plated bullets in the ball gun. The Rainiers cost about $90 per thousand compared to $130+ for the fmj. The plated bullets have exceeded my expectations. I have seen absolutely no difference in performance from the Rainiers ...

Hammerli 280
Here are some benchrested groups with my factory Hammerli 280. The Lapua is the 83gr variety.
My Pardini HP has the faster twist barrel from Wilson, and performs significantly better. Photos available of groups on request.
Hope this helps.

Preliminary reload data
Some preliminary chronograph data to add to the fire. All shot with Pardini HP and Wilson 1/10" barrel. Factory loads on top. Berry's plated bullets show promise at 50 yards, but seem to like being driven at or over Lapua factory speeds. The current batch of Hornady 90gr at about 700 fps is hol...

MP90
I shot an MP90 for about 3 years, from '03 until last year. In my opinion, it's a solid performer and an even better value. I had a Docter mounted on top, but the receiver is grooved for both .22 dovetail and weaver slots. There isn't much room so mounting can sometimes be tricky depending on the si...

Pardini velocities
FWIW, here are some actual chronograph tests of several types of mid and premium .22 brands though my Pardini. (Excel file)
Hope this helps in an apples-to-apples fashion.

OK, OK already...
Ok, by popular (incessant) request, I plan on accuracy testing the ammo this weekend, weather permitting. I have no reasonable way to Ransom rest the Pardini. (Paul: It's not the grip insert that is the problem. After buying two Pardinis, I can't afford a Ransom Rest to test them. :-) ) As a reasona...

Wolf vs. SK
Mr. Young: Unless I got some weird bricks, the Wolf and SK Standard Plus I tested were not the same. While the cases had the same headstamp, the bullets were slightly different shades of grey. The Wolf cases had the usual Wolf slime coating, while the SK was dry. Omega: I did some preliminary accura...

Julian, The numbers are velocities, listed in feet per second. 'Average' is the average velocity of the string. 'High' is the highest velocity recorded for the string, and 'Low' the lowest. 'ES' is the extreme spread of the velocities, or difference between highest and lowest shot. 'SD' is the stand...

Stan, I have tested for groups but it's hard without a Ransom insert that fits. It's all been off a bench rest at 50 yards with a non-magnifying red dot mounted, and my trigger finger feeling like a frozen fish stick with the nasty weather we've had. The end result is that it's mostly a pick-em situ...

Functionality
Stan, It was about what you would expect. No problems of any kind, with the exception one one misfire of the Winchester T22 and one of the PMC. Both rounds showed evidence of a strong firing pin hit, and both shot on a second attempt. Since these are the least expensive of the bunch, I guess it's no...
