Re: Olympic Rapidfire 2028 LA
OK, I understand now. It does make some sense to me. Existing RFP shooters, who train and compete in RFP already, would likely want to keep things as they are. Other shooters may be more open to doing something different. From a long-term perspective, are the current and future bases of 5-shot pisto...

Re: Olympic Rapidfire 2028 LA
I'm not sure why he says MSP won the vote. Looks like RFP won it.

Re: 25m RFP Proposed changes
Thanks for the info. Did you see new rules or something else that confirms this? I don't see anything on the ISSF site.

Modified blinder is ISSF-legal?
Hello, I'm fairly certain this modified blinder is ISSF-legal but thought I would run it past the good folks here first. The grey area has been removed so that it conforms to the side of the nose, and the actual blinder is more curved than depicted in this graphic so it comes right up against the si...

Vans skateboard shoes?
Hello all,
I am recommending Vans skateboard shoes for a new shooter. Does anyone know if they are passing the current ISSF stiffness test? Looking for feedback from someone who recently tested them at a competition.
TIA
Stan

Suggestions for a postal match structure?
Hello all, We're likely going to start running some postal air gun matches in our area - SE Virginia. Hopefully, they will serve as a starting point and feeder program to a normal shooting club here. We can come up with our structure from scratch. But, has anyone on TT set up such a postal match pro...

Sources for club liability insurance?
Hello all, We're looking into setting up a small club in SE Virginia. Will need liability insurance to get going. Does anyone have a recommendation for a source for this type of insurance that will not be cost prohibitive? Do orgs like USA Shooting, DCM, etc. have arrangements where their affiliated...

Preferred Ruger forum?
I've installed the Volquartsen trigger kit and bolt tune-up kit in this Ruger. So far, the ejection problem seems to have gone away. The trigger is not quite as good as I expected, but I'll continue working with it. I've looked at several Ruger forums where I may make some inquiries about this. Clea...

David and all,
Just an update that David's solution of adding some weight to the second stage worked perfectly, and now this Morini is back in the game. Thanks to everyone!

Re: Eyewear confusion
Hello all, This topic is right on time for me. In working with my granddaughter, I think she sometimes sneaks a peek at the bull during her shot delivery process. What I would like to go is find a +0.25 clip-on lens to attach to her glasses on her aiming eye so she cannot do this and also provide a ...

Re: Dead Morini Air Pistol Electronics?
Hello all, I am in the final stages of, hopefully, resolving this issue. But, I had something happen that the folks at Pilkington had not encountered. While dry firing the trigger, it started to fire multiple times. Anywhere from 2 to 5 times with one trigger movement. Happens sporadically. Has anyo...

The top performer in the TOZ I used to have seemed to always be RWS R-50. Didn't care much about the batch. That gun liked them all.

Re: Dead Morini Air Pistol Electronics?
Hello all, After talking with Pilkington, I'm going to try adjusting the micro switch to eliminate it as the source of the problem. This appears to require a 1mm hex wrench. Is that the correct size? Would like to be sure before I go on a mission to find one. BTW, does anyone know where they're read...

Re: Ruger Mark IV Target for 25 m Pistol (Sport Pistol)
Thanks to everyone for the replies. 1. I'll check the extractor. Also will talk with the factory. 2. If I put in the Volquartsen parts and the trigger weight turns out to be too low, is there any way to raise it to the minimum? 3. Tandemcross appears to be using many parts from Volquartsen. Not sure...

Re: Ruger Mark IV Target for 25 m Pistol (Sport Pistol)
Hello all, Just an update on the Ruger. Took possession of it a couple of weeks ago, and my granddaughter has fired a number of rounds through it. We've been using CCI Standard Velocity ammo. Out of about 300 - 400 shots, the pistol has failed to clear an empty case 3 times. This has happened to her...

Looking for a post about a custom grip. I think they used
Kwikwood with a finish of sand or a similar material. Final result was a great looking grip. The post was from years ago.
If anyone can find it, please let me know. My searches have not retrieved it.
TIA

Re: Ruger Mark IV Target for 25 m Pistol (Sport Pistol)
Granddaughter had a really good training session today on 25m Pistol RF portion. Used a borrowed FWB AW93 which she cannot grip properly (hand shifted to the right). The Ruger Mark IV Target is coming soon. Looking for replacement front, and especially, rear sights. Would like to have something simi...

Walter or Mark,
Just finished setting up one of these triggers following your instructions. One question, at the end, how will I know when screw 26 is set correctly?
TIA

Re: Ruger Mark IV Target for 25 m Pistol (Sport Pistol)
Actually, the less expensive 3D grips might be the way to go for her right now. She stopped growing several years ago, and it's unlikely her tiny hands will change anytime soon, if ever. The Ruger is, we hope, a stepping stone to either a FWB or Pardini. That might be the time to go full Rink. The o...
