Re: Morini CM84E Compensator Comparisons
This thread from years ago is worth a read (goodness it feels like it was only yesterday :). I included some images and measurements on the second page. https://targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?t=17292 Something else that you need to consider is that both the short (aka "original" or "old...

Re: Morini 162e manual or parts diagram needed
I have and use a 162e which has been my primary AP for the past 20 years and I still have the original manual. Note that it was released in the early days of Morini manufacturing pistols (having moved on from primarily being known as a grip maker) so the 'manual' is pretty crude by today's standards...

Re: FAS 6007.....Finally in production and for sale in Austr
Perhaps they are planning to? The FAS 6007 pistol is made under license by Chiappa who already have a reasonable presence in the U.S. market. Actually, they have it currently listed on their U.S. website though it is possible that there may be a few legal hoops for them to jump through before it can...

I wonder if that's the same Razorenov who assisted Khaidurov with the design of the XP-86 (= AW93) .et al?

Re: Rapid Fire Pistol
When we shoot informal Rapid Fire at our club, to be honest we quite often do 60 shot scoring (+ 5 sighters). Excluding the sighters, this equals 12 holes per target...well there would be 12 apart from the misses and with inexperienced shooters, come the four-second strings, there will be plenty! We...

Re: KHAYDUROV / DEMYAN SP22 PISTOL UPDATE
This is good news. Unfortunately, none of the images I can find show the pistol without its grip as without it one would be able to work out to some extent whether the trigger mechanism of the SP15 is (as the text of the linked pages Ruig included seems to indicate) like the HR30 or if it is closer ...

Re: ISSF Report - Summary of IOC Sports Department - ISSF Mt
Here's a news report based on the SGO index (Sports Governance Observer) release earlier brought to the attention of this thread by Ruig. The ISSF scores the lowest score (27.3%) out of 35 different Olympic federations. Even scandal-plagued FIFA managed to score 67.8%; more than twice that of the IS...

Re: Industry - Summary of Proposed 2017-2020 ISSF Rules Chan
I wear side blinders after an empty .22 hit on the elbow of my glasses once. So I wear for safety I'm in the same situation so the banning side-blinders on shooting glasses would really bother me. Though some ranges I have competed on have shade cloth dividing bays, most of our 25m ranges (includin...

Re: Industry - Summary of Proposed 2017-2020 ISSF Rules Chan
Does anyone proof-read this stuff at the ISSF? First of all they say that shotgun athletes can use side blinders, then they say they can't . Only shotgun athletes will be permitted to use side blinders........shotgun athletes can wear one front blinder...but no side blinders. Which is it? And if sho...

Re: Smith and Wesson Model 41
If your heart is really set on a Model 41, contact S&W BUT though it is well made, the Model 41 is very over-priced for what it is. It costs $1350 to $1600 depending on the version (one of which isn't ISSF compliant) for a gun designed 60+ years ago that has a rudimentary grip, rudimentary sight...

Re: Upcoming new sport pistols
With the interest (and Olympic success) of ISSF pistol shooting in China I have long hoped that we would see a new entry-level inexpensive .22 target pistol emerge from that country. Alas I've been waiting ten years to no avail. The DongFeng pistol was essentially just this and Chen Ying took Gold ...

Re: Upcoming new sport pistols
The 41 is WAY over priced. You can get a Benelli MP95 for a lot less money. If you think the S&W Model 41 is expensive in the United States, by the time it reaches these shores its pricing is a complete farce. On several occasions I've steered new shooters away from buying Model 41's who were a...

Re: Free Pistol barrel lenght
I recently shortened the sight radius on my Morini 84e which has a standard 12 inch barrel and came fitted with the original “short” compensator (it never had a standard sight holder). Even with the front sight moved back to the most rearward position, the radius with compensator was still longer th...

Re: Good book on free pistol?
Im asking Ragnar if he wants to comment Another option could be that if he doesn't want to release the English text in a Creative Common manner (and fair enough; that's his choice) could he perhaps consider allowing the book to be copied and re-released in a print-on-demand basis? Technology today ...
