Sighting question... Close an eye?

When sighting, what is the best thing to do with your eyes?

Close one eye?

Block off one eye of the glasses?

Special glasses?

What is best? Right now I have shooting glasses but just squint one eye...

Matches in Michigan?

I'm looking for the locations, time, etc. of matches in and around Michigan... I'm not sure of a central location (on the web I hope) to find out this information? I get Shooting Sports through the NRA, but is there another, better place that gathers this information? All help is appreciated.... John

It still is heavy... What gives?

Gang, I shoot an IZZY 46m and really like it. I've been shooting it for about 6 months. I still find it kind of heavy though. Specifically in the front. Now, I lift weights hard 4x a week and am not exactly wimpy. In fact, I'm fairly strong. I'm 38 years old, just for the record. But I tell you, tha...

CraigE... Your K2, a question...

CraigE, You have the Pardini K2 right? In PCP you said, right? My question is about the CO2 version of that gun. Does it just take a CO2 cartridge? Or do you fill it some other way? The K2 seems like a real nice gun, would you highly recommend it? What does the "S" denote? Weight? Thanks f...

Thanks pdeal....

Thanks for your reply, I was kind of thinking along the lines of what you said, with just trying it with the gun in the basement first.

Saw a used Tau-200 for $300ish, might think about that one.

Thanks to all... Another quick question...

OK, I have an IZZY with custom grips and really like it.

It the Pardini the "next step up"? I like the SSP guns myself.

Tiny...

Oh yeah, I had forgotten all about how very tiny that target is! Spotting scope makes total sense!

Thanks for all the good replies!

I will have to see what everyone is shooting at a match sometime soon...

Thank you!

Thanks to all... But I'm still a little confused...

I am used to shooting pistols, and usually you don't need too much other apparel. Why do you need a shooting coat, glove and shoes? What is the rest for? I thought most shooting was done from a standing position? Spotting scope? Shooting is done from 10 meters right? Does the scope help a lot? Thank...

About that gun...

You have to cock it after every shot.

A couple question about it if you don't mind:

1) You have to cock it each time right?
2) Why did you buy this one vs. a similiarly priced PCP?
3) Can you compare it to the Baikal IZZY at all?

Thanks for your input and time.

Like to try Olympic Air Rifle - Entry Level Gun?

Hi all, I'm just thinking about TRYING Olympic Air Rifle for fun. What are say 3 or 4 guns that are decent entry level? You know, guns that are at least somewhat nice, but maybe not top end? I've looked at the TAU-200, Baikal's offering, etc. All seem nice enough... I guess??? Thanks a lot for your ...

What Sparks said...

I cannot agree more with what Sparks has said about his 3 target example of the power/detriment of losing your focus on the elements of shooting that matter....

I do it all the time... : 0

Does anyone use 6m reduced targets for 10m air pistol?

Hold Time? How long is too long?

When I am "on target", I have noticed that I wait sometime too long to take the shot. Most times I have a good sight picture, but for some reason I pass it up and wait longer, thus making my arm/hand/gun start to shake more. I find that I get a much better shot, if I shoot relatively quick...

Yes, I shoot in my backyard!

I have found the neighbors to be very understanding, specifically if you let them see and touch the gun and maybe even shoot it! This lets them know that it isn't a cannon that's going to put them in some kind of danger. I shoot in my basement almost exclusively though, mostly because of WIND! Shoot...

I am not familiar with the person in the picture above...

Obviously he is an Olympian of some nature? 585 makes him heroic in my book.

But who is he and where is he from, etc?

Sorry, I just crawled out from under a rock and don't know who he is! ; )

Benelli KITE anyone?

All,

I have a friend that has a Benelli KITE and he really likes it.

Does anyone else have any experiences that they could share about this gun?

Seems like a nice mid-range gun.

Thank you,

John
