Re: Looking to get back into air pistol

Since you are in the US, I suggest you call Pilkington and see what he has used. I got a used LP10 from him a few months ago for a bit less than $1000, and he made sure it was in good working order.

Barrel Life

Does an air pistol barrel eventually get “shot out” like a firearm barrel? If so, about how many pellets? If buying used, what muzzle velocity range would indicate that, say, an LP10 long barrel’s life is at an end?

Re: Field Target

Thanks. I’ve been conversing with folks at AIrgun nation about FT and Ive bought my equipment, but I haven’t shot a match yet. I’m in touch with three local FT clubs, so Ibhave options for competing locally. I bought a Thomas because it can switch easily between 12 FPE and 20 FPE, so lots of options...

Re: UPS STORES - Disappointing - NOT SHOOTING FRIENDLY

I had this same issue recently. The laws of your state may impact whether you can just pack it and drop it off at a UPS store. In Texas, the law mandates that you have to inform the carrier that the package contains a firearm, AND there can be no marking on the package indicating that it contains a ...

Test Pellet Assortment Packs?

Please advise what are my options for obtaining a test pellet assortment packs? I’m interested in pellets for 10m AP and Rifle, and also all three classes of Field Target Rifle. So heavier pellets too. All .17 though. Thanks.

Aha Moments!

I’ve had a couple of moments where I discovered something that seemed to help and then proved to me over time that it really does help. One is when I really took to heart the advice to only have grip pressure right at the top in the very front and back. I’ve incorporated a check in my routine where ...

Re: Steyr cylinder connectors/fittings

Question- are you trying to connect the tank to a fitting on an air rifle/pistol that is not the Steyr? If so, it is easier to use if you have a bleed valve. What’s the limit on exploding cylinder references? Feels like it’s been 10 years already.

Re: Steyr cylinder connectors/fittings

Thanks, David, but what I need is the name of this type of male fitting. http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w444/frolfaholic/75AA96A5-B11C-43F3-B159-40FFD29A0403.jpeg Once I know what it is called, then I can look for a foster to “whatever this thing is called” adapter. Re: Targettalk Monthly AP league

Why age? Someone ELSE might get offended. As a proxy for age, post your eyeglass prescription and how much you paid for the glasses. Then, as a super-insulting handicap system, post your UN-Corrected distance vision, and adjust how far you STAND from the target by that variable. This was supposed t...

Pellet Trap for NRA B-40 Targets?

I tried to order more 10m air pistol targets for my Gehman pellet trap, but I somehow ordered a whole bunch of the NRA B-40 Targets. The bull and scoring lines all look the same, but I will have to trim the margins of these targets on 3 sides to get them to fit in my trap. Maybe it would be easier t...

Steyr cylinder connectors/fittings

My scuba tank has a male fitting that allows the Steyr cylinders to be screwed directly into it, without need to use the adapter included with the LP10. Now I need to charge cylinders that have a foster fitting, so I’m trying to remember the name of that connector or fitting exhibited by my scuba ta...
