Re: sight elevation vs bloop tube and bigger tunnel
I'd only add that you need to insure your final solution leaves around 10 minutes of rear-sight elevation to go from 50 to 100 yards. Not something you could fix in the middle of a match.

Your local paint and body shop has spray boothes, computerized color matching, aluminum-friendly primers and paints, the ability to bake on and often powdercoat, and understand thoroughly what they are about.

I'd order one along with a new extractor spring, a new FP spring and replace the ejector with a new one with sharp corners and dimensions to sp...

Re: How often to clean my bloop tube?
As stated above, the real problem with bloop tubes is they deter wiping off the crown after each session. This can lead to rifling groove corners encrusted with baked-on carbon that open up your groups. It's sometimes so bad it's easier to touch up the crown with a crown cutter than it is to get rem...

Re: Adding weight to Anschutz air rifle
Weight is best added by placing the fully-assembled rifle on a fulcrum and using lead weights to achieve the desired balance. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL12/1104763/24569606/411741951.jpg Then you add melted lead accordingly. Swirling the lead in the ladle will cool it to near the point of soli...

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL12/1104763/24541596/410617855.jpg The KK300 with all its gear is still over 14lbs of rifle. It's weight is deceiving because of its compact stock and good balance. The method we use for new or small-stature position shooters to reduce weight and improve offhand and ...

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL12/1104763/24646527/412448304.jpg While today we free-float barrels and pillar bed actions to achieve perfectly consistent harmonics, that isn't the only solution. There are a number of rifle designs that do better with up to 14lbs of upward pressure on the barrel, ...

Re: Kimber 82G Good or Bad?
The bottom line is that the 82G (9lbs) is the most disliked rifle in our 100+ kid junior program, with the most-liked award going to the Anschutz 64C (7lbs) for smaller kids and the Anschutz Match 64 (8lbs) and Walther KK100 (9lbs) for larger kids. The problem isn't weight, it's balance. The Kimber ...

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL12/1104763/24434003/411120459.jpg What we most like about the KK300 is its better balance and shorter bolt throw because the barrel is set back further due to the shorter bolt. That equates to a smaller kid being able to handle 12 pounds worth of rifle in all three ...

Re: Anschutz 1913 vs Walther kk300?????
So Bob,what I'm getting from this (as well as from other people) is that the Walther is only good for its barrel, trigger, and bolt? P.S. Do you coach a club in Seabeck? "Only good"? What I'm saying is the Walther K300 has a superior bolt design and trigger to Anschutz, and is equal in al...

Re: Anschutz 1913 vs Walther kk300?????
Bolt throw on the KK300 is significantly shorter than the Anschutz 54. A biggie with my small-statured shooters. I also like the ergonomics of the Walther better. Seems lighter than it really is. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL12/1104763/24434003/411120459.jpg What I don't like about the KK300 is ...

Now that we've had the K300 in our junior program for almost a year, it certainly gets my vote for best value among our large Anschutz (through 2000-Series) inventory. https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/t31.0-8/10818329_10202285210171765_5196894508019568942_o.jpg Plus: 20-click sights...

Re: Got a new rifle, have a few questions
For German sights, simply point your right thumb in the direction you want the bullet strike to move. Up, down, left or right. The direction of the curl of your fingers is the direction you move the knobs. https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/v/t1.0-9/252254_122786917879524_1185222...
