Jim
My mother and I were actually talking about it tonight that it will take a lot of people to make up for what Jim does. He devoted so much of his time to the range between rifle camp, all the matches, the NRA Nationals, etc. I swear sometimes Jim must've had to live at the indoor range in order to ge...

Go to www.ncaaclearinghouse.net that should give you the info you need. I think you'll have to wait until you're a senior before you start the registration process though.

Chances are that there won't be more people to automatically qualify than the range can support (although I suppose if there's a sudden surge in high scores/participation it's possible someday). Males and females don't shoot on the same days, so they aren't trying to fit a lot of relays in during on...

Happy Holidays
I just wanted to wish everyone on here a very safe and happy holiday season! Remember, it is not about where you're from, what religion you are, what gifts you receive...it's about being thankful for what you have, who you're with (even if they're not near), and compassion and goodwill towards other...

ah, I don't mind tinkering with it...I understand that everything will need tinkering in order to get it to fit me. I just don't want to get something way far and beyond what I'm needing and end up tinkering with it to the point where it becomes more of a distraction simply because I got something I...

I applaud you for being so involved in your son's shooting (especially with him being a new shooter). I agree that it is too hard to "just know" what everyone is talking about with these matches. Here in the midwest (in my opinion) it is really easy to miss matches simply because there are...

adjustable rear iris
It was suggested to me that it's time to look into getting an adjustable rear iris for my air rifle. I've been looking around and there seem to be so many kinds (different magnifications, color filters, polarization filters, some with color/polarization filters, some without, some with just one of t...

Illinois Matches
Paula, gotta watch out for those whipper snappers. hehe. Now, to the OP...I have match programs right now for the matches that will be in Streator, IL through the end of March. If you'd like the information on them I'd be happy to give it to you. We're always looking for new faces around here (as th...

Army qualifying
If you're talking about just regular qualifying with the M16 like what you're taught in regular BCT, it's really quite simple for it to seem like you're shooting better than you really are. A) It's not based on a "points" scale. It's either a hit or a miss. You could just knick the target,...

I'm not sure if this is the information you're looking for or not...but I use a glove from Monard. It's not *completely* fingerless...but the fingers on the glove go to right about the first joint on the fingers. It's quite comfy and I love it. Never had a problem with it not passing equipment check...

I haven't flown with my air rifle since I went to Colorado Springs in 2003. I had absolutely no problems with flying with the gun itself...the only issue I had was that my equipment bag was overweight (how embarassing moving equipment to other bags at the check in counter to make the bag 50lbs.). Th...

this is what I would do
When I found myself holding too long I tried to change my whole approach. I guess I just wasn't feeling comfortable with my hold...I would be holding pretty well, but just couldn't "bring" myself to pull the trigger. I'm not sure if I was just waiting for it to get even better or what. The...

shooting jacket
Also remember that once you place your buttons don't hesitate to move them. Naturally your jacket will be tighter when it's new. Once it gets broken in it's possible that you'll have to move them. Since you're sending it back make sure you don't get too big of a jacket so that once it's broken in it...
