The grips from a 777 are pretty nice wood ones. I think you could probably get them right from Daisy. Might be pricey, but worth a shot... No pun intended :)

Should work, but you will have to drill and tap the barrel for the allen head bolt

As a followup to my prior post.... I ended up purchasing the Trailside I spoke about. After putting 150 or so rounds downrange, I'd add the following to my thoughts above: - It seems to be ammo "insensitive". I have some "soft" target ammo that wouldn't cycle in anything, and it ...

I've not handled/fired an Xesse, but have a few Sig Trailsides (same gun, basically). Putting aside reliability and build concerns, I thought... - Very light, but nice balance. - Trigger is quite acceptable stock. I've fired one with Larry's job done, and didn't find it sooo much better, but everyon...

I think 13" LOP is manageable. I had forgotten that I had a worn, old Crosman 1400 that my father-in-law gave me a few years back for pest control. It's LOP seems to be about 13" (trigger to middle of buttplate). My son can comfortably mount it, though he struggled a bit to hold it up, sus...

How big is your son? My son is 6 y/o, though the size of an average 8-9 y/o, very tall and lanky. What kind of rifle are you looking for? Initially for plinking, but accurate enough for informal target shooting, where good form will be rewarded. As mentioned, if he took a sincere liking to it, I'd ...

RWS Schutze?

Looking for a good-quality starter air rifle for my son. The full-size guns are just too heavy, too long LOP, reach to trigger, etc... I want more quality/accuracy than the daisy and crosman basics, and keep coming back to this one. Anyone own one? Seems to be just a 3/4 size and power RWS springer,...

I'm right about where you guys are w/regard to score. For me, whatever needs to be done to improve slow-fire on a consistent basis is a complete mystery to me... Like MassShooter, some days I can go to practice, and the dot is rock-steady. This can be during a period of daily dry-firing with 2-3 ses...

By chance do you eat candy bars on a plate, with a knife and fork? (A-la George Costanza) LOL : ) In all seriousness, I think it's a bit much to be that concerned about the lead. A thorough hand-washing after a match or practice session should suffice. If however it helps you in the loading process,...

I've tried quite a few of the Aguila's and have done some relatively serious testing (no ransom rest, but sand-bags). The Aguila Rifle Match was actually the standout for me. Shot just as well as some high-$ Eley and RWS that someone gave me. This was out of a Benelli. Definitely worth a try. I put ...

Well, I HAD an MP95 about 2yrs back. If by newer vs older you mean the old EAA green case versus the new black case, then I had a newer one. I owned it for about 6mos and dryfired it 1000's of times with the red chamber plug. It was great because I could rack the slide and the plug would stay in pla...

Question for Benelli MP90/95 owners...

Do you dryfire with the red chamber plug that comes with the gun?

I'm not sure if that it's addl use, outside the obvious safety flag purpose that it serves.

Reason I question it is that typical dryfire plugs are much softer, providing some "give". The benelli plug is quite hard.

What's your price range, Gary? In the $300-$400 range, the Buckmarks and Ruger MKII/III's are the best choices. In the $450-$650 segment, there's really a hole. I think the higher end SP22 falls here, but I think you'd be better served going for a Buckmark/Ruger, or saving a bit more and searching o...

Thanks Popeye. Yeah, mine is the top trigger in your pic - I realize the others are likely your creation. I don't really have the materials/tools/time to go fabricating right now. I'll probably just give Earl's a call to see what he may have. The angled face seems fine for slow-fire shooting. But fo...

Question on GSP trigger.

I've got a Walther GSP with the two stage trigger. The face of the trigger shoe is angled, and I really don't care for this - prefer a flat trigger face.

Is this the norm? Or is this perhaps an optional part on mine? Just curious what others out there have on their's.

Thanks for any help.
