What are folks reloading .45acp for (per round)?

Simple question. Just curious, as I'd like to start delving into bullseye with a 45, and at $15/50rds, it ain't happening. Obviously a reload will probably be more accurate anyhow. Somewhere in my Googling of this topic I thought someone mentioned around $3.50/30rds. Pretty good, I think. Plenty of ...

50 Foot "Gallery" Bullseye versus 25yd or standard

I've shot nothing but a 50ft gallery league (.22) since starting shooting again, not too long ago. In my mind, I always considered it kinda' like "junior" bullseye, as I was sort of a 2nd class citizen in the BE world. Recently, I swear I heard one of the more experienced fellows mention t...

On the budget side, mine shot incredibly well with Aguila Match Rifle. As good as anything, any price, at 50ft. 50 Yards might be another story, but at around $30/brick, it's well worth a try...

I think Nills and Rink are the best, though pricey. Some like Nills over Rink, and vice-versa. I prefer Rinks myself. Feel free to PM me if you want to purchase and would like some size/fitting info. I've had a bunch of each, and learned a few lessons along the way. Happy to help someone avoid the m...

I agree 100% with "visitor". Asking prices on Gunsamerica and Buy Now prices on GunBroker are "usually" inflated - mainly due to dealers that stick them out there in hopes that some un-informed person comes along to pay the price. These ads refresh themselves, so no extra work fo...

As luck would have it, a fellow on the opposing team in our league match tonight owns/knows a lot about Pardini's. In about 20min he had the trigger set just as I've been trying to do (actually, a better feel than I expected). The spring/ball controlling the 2nd stage was in fact dirty, and somewhat...

Thanks William. Guess I'll just keep tweaking it a bit at a time and see if there's some setting I can live with. Right now there's a good bit of total travel between the two stages. But if I can't feel where the 2nd stage is, it's kinda useless - just a long pull and surprise break. Now I see why I...

Pardini Trigger Adj - How to get a "hard stop" at

I recently purchased a used SP. Love everything about it, except the way the trigger was adjusted - very short, indiscernible stages, and a surprise break. Nice for slowfire, but too unpredictable for timed/rapid. I simply want a light first stage that bumps into the second with a notable stop. That...

Sorry to sway off topic too, but... Having recently owned a Benelli MP95 and S&W 41 back-to-back, I can't help but agree with the last post. I see not a single advantage the 41 has over the Benelli in target shooting (outside of perhaps in 2 or 3-gun Bullseye, where the Smith better matches the ...

I'd be curious to hear some feedback from someone who owns one, myself. I see them popping up in gun shops here and there, and wonder why I've never heard them spoken of. The look, is that of a modern woodsman model. Given their relatively inexpensive price (compared to any other Colt, at least), my...

Question for Benelli MP90/95 Owners...

Just picked up a used 95. I had one a year or so back, sold it, and decided to go back to one. To my question... If I have the slide pulled back, held with the slide-stop button, and insert the magazine with a good shove, the slide closes (obviously chambering a round). I don't recall this on my las...

Just to follow up for anyone interested... I had e-mailed Pardini directly - they said that all parts were still avaiable for the gun (in this case, one maufactured in the late 90's). I ended up passing on it, as I thought the asking price was too high, and the seller wouldn't budge. Found a great d...

Checked it out today. Little more info to help distinguish how old. Is this an "SP New"? - From Nygord - Trigger "adjuster screws" ahead/above trigger blade - Has grooved receiver for scope/dot mount - Has the silver "ovals" on the magazine well (newer, reinforced?) - D...

Pardini SP (prior to "SP New") still supported for

Going to look at one tomorrow, and I wanted to get some insight. I recall someone saying that many/most? of the "SP New" parts aren't compatible, and spares for "pre-New" are all but dried up. Anyone have any recent experience with replacing parts? I called Larry's, but they're c...

Walther SSP listed for sale at Kittery Trading Post

Figured I'd pass this along as I think it's a pretty darn good price. I'm not connected to it in any way/shape/form. Just saw it in my normal used target pistol browsing. Maybe a good deal for someone...

Likely, folks will ask you some prerequisite questions... - What's you budget $ ? - Are you "trying out" the game, or is it something you have a genuine interest in pursuing? - What's your shooting experience? - What's your goal? Casual shooting, competing at local level, competing at nati...

I too believe that the "donut" of 9's is inferior to the scattered group with more 10's. My donut groups inevitably come from when I'm releasing because the dot/sights are centered. And as Steve said, by the time the trigger goes off, you're likely not there, especially since you probably ...
