FWB 80 - Thoughts on it???
I've searched pretty well, and found little info on this gun, so.... What's the general opinion on these? I own a Daisy pneumatic now and would love to upgrade without going to CA or CO2. Baikal's a great deal, but I just don't like the feel. I DO remember reading somewhere that the FWB's, though &q...

Standing facing the target would cause your pectoral (chest) muscle on that side to contract. This would most likely be an area of fatigue / breakdown of form, eventually. 90 Degrees to target would cause that same muscle to stretch out and and bring in the lateral (rear) head of the shoulder muscle...

OK, I'll bite.... Whatever gives you your NPA (Natural Point of Aim). Get in what you think is the correct allignment and close your eyes. Raise the gun and let it naturally fall in the direction of the target. Open your eyes and see where you are. Make adjustments from there. I believe the theory (...

Right twitch on trigger break....
As of late my groups seem to be veering off to the right a bit. Figures, now that they're tightening up, something else had to go wrong... Anyhow, I found the cause in dry-firing against a blank wall. As the trigger breaks, the gun twitches slightly to the right. I know on the "shot wheel"...

Well, back from my match and well... I guess the nerves hit me hard! :) Through my sighters and first 3 or 4 targets I had an uncontrollable wobble. Shots were all over the target. My good shots were those that happend to go off while I waved by the center! I was absolutely disgusted! Then suddenly ...

And this is meant to be good-fun ribbing.... But weren't you just looking for the BEST airgun in your last post? :) After dropping the $1,500-$2,000 you probably would for that setup, a penny or three difference per pellet shouldn't matter much, no? And I have to agree with Bill... The confidence go...

Sat Morning Trivia Question
Easy for you airgun buffs, I'm sure. But it'll satisfy my interest... What is the target pistol on the cover of the classic Airgun Digest (1977, 1st ed.?) There's an ancient looking rifle, a FWB300, another old pistol? and this modern target pistol. Think it's a Beeman or FWB model.... I actually ha...

Thanks for all the replies. I'm actually not at all hesitant to try. I had stopped by this club at the end of last winter's AP league. I remember seeing a bunch of targets layed out to be scored, and there was nothing too intimidating. Guns ranged from Daisys to what I now know are Steyrs, Pardinis,...

Score at your first match?
If you remember, what was your score at your first organized match?
Ive been practicing a few months now and I'm starting a league in two weeks.
Just wondered about others first scores, experiences.
Any advice is always appreciated too!
Thanks

Just wanted to jump in and add my .02 in reply to Don90250. I just came up from session in my basement, so while it's fresh... As other posters mentioned, you're looking for an equal gap between the front sight and rear sight sides and bottom of the black. But this certainly doesn't mean you need to...

NRA rulebook for 10meter air pistol?
Getting ready to shoot in a league next month and I was told they go by NRA rules. This is the closest I could find. Is this correct?

Our moderator, Pilkguns, would probably be a good place to start. Also, larrysguns.com, out of New Hampshire(?), I believe... I suppose it may depend on brand, but they could probably at least get you pointed in the right direction, if not take care of you themselves. I'm sure others will chime in h...

Thanks for the replies, and K5, your solution. I've got the little Beeman trap that needs a piece of cardboard behind the target, so I don't think that'll work for me. I'm always amazed at the creative solutions people have on this site, though! On the spotting topic... I'm a relative newbie and ini...

Target Lighting
Is there any (reasonable) amount of lighting which will let you see pellet holes at 10m with the naked eye? I don't need a spotting scope for the range (each station has one attached), but I practice a lot at home. What DO most folks do at home? Walking up after each shot obviously isn't realistic. ...
