Re: SCATT-- is it worth it?

During those training sessions are you actively trying to improve the basic elements of firing a good shot or simply repeating what you've always done. If the former then how are you judging the effect of your efforts. Scatt gives you a way of measuring the results in so many more ways than just th...

SCATT-- is it worth it?

I've been thinking about buying a SCATT system for personal use, but every time I get close I choke on the price. I'm currently shooting 530-540 (AP) and want to move up to the 570+ range (who doesn't?), training 5x/week (see my training diary: http://yotg.net). Can someone convince me it is worth i...

One has to wonder at the depth of fear combined with stupidity (or ignorance if one is feeling charitable) of so many people. Of course there are idiots with guns doing stupid things, but the vast majority do not act dangerously even if they're towards the intellectually challenged end of the spect...

I'm just over the border from you, in Luxembourg. I was also member of a shooting club in Saarbrucken for a year.

Here, shooting is VERY MUCH about the socializing. Take a beer with them afterwards. You will be richly rewarded.

And if you ever think you might get over to Luxembourg, drop me a line.

Rover, appreciate your links etc.

Conradin, Sill Lyra is now offering "internet-based coaching". I have *NO* personal experience with it, so this is information only, not a reccomendation, but...

Fixing vertical variance

Thank you both. Wanted to get a few responses before adding this, as I already know what I know, but don't know what I don't know, except that it is plenty. I thought the vertical spread issue might be failure to consistently identify my aiming area (as I said in my first post). So I inverted a targ...

Fixing vertical variance

Still new at this hobby... looking for tips/training advice ... typical results from yesterday. Sub-6 hold (targeting the "5"). 3.5 cm horizontal spread, 4.5 cm vertical spread. What causes the vertical spread, and how do I reduce it? Breath (yes, and I was paying close attention to this) ...

I found a vintage 2004 LP10 for only 20% more than the LP1, and bought it. I'll have to replace the cylinders next year, but the cylinders on the LP1 were also reaching their best-by date. Discussion over beer is always welcome, any time you find yourself in Luxembourg let me know. Since I'm keeping...

Because none of the clubs allow alcohol around, hence no CO2 tank. Boy, you live in the wrong county. Our club is built around alcohol. The shooting is just an excuse for us boys to get together... Simple. Keep the FWB. Oh, most certainly. But it is a love/hate relationship, and I want a better gun...

LP-1 vs LP-10

I know, it has been asked a thousand times before... Ready to replace my Feinwerkbau mod 2 with a more modern pistol. My thought was the LP-10, but I'm still choking on the price. A local store has an LP-1 (compressed air) used in good condition, about half the price of what I think a used LP-10 wil...
