I like the current idea which is much more organized---the selective areas are easier to work with as you don't have to wade through posts that are not of interest. I like it and don't fix it, it ain't broke. Thanks for hosting this site---I check in a few times a week.

Shamateurism
Well the term "amateur" became a non-issue during the era of the Soviet bloc nations and their "Olympic" programs. I think we are quite aware that currently hockey, basketball, softball, baseball, Track & Field, shooting, swimming, soccer (football), downhill ski racing, slal...

Marvel Conversions
I used a Marvel conversion on a dedicated Caspian frame for a couple of years---I got rid of it after being frustrated with myriad feeding problems---bad magazines---the gun produced more alibis than a 83 year old drunk.

DES69U
Sorry gentlemen but, the company has been out of business for the past 1.5 years and the entire inventory of machines and parts were purchased by a scrap dealer. I cannot suggest anyone else other than Don Nygord as a possible source of Unique parts. He was the last American dealer I know of to carr...

Hi-standard
Most assuredly---the new Texas company makes an excellent gun which is quite suitable for most target competition. I have a new Victor which I use for Bullseye with a dot---but my older Victor I have used for Standard Pistol---and they both have an amazingly good trigger---not equal to my Pardini's ...

.32 S&W Long
I use the Meister 100 gr. DEWC with Remington Brass, Federal SP Primers, 1.2 grains V VN310---the gun shoots perfectly---no alibis and is as accurate as I can hold at 50ft.---25yards (metres). Just cleaned both my SP & HP after the indoor season ended and it was a pleasure with very little if an...

Free Pistol Grip
To me this is as personal as choosing clothes, shoes etc. Each of us is quite unique and different from each other. Boy ,that was quite astute & philsophical observation--- The Free Pistol is a different experience for each of us---no two hands are identical there in hangs the tale of how to gri...

Occluders & Blinders
Yes, the 01.01.04 rule changes have been adopted and even the NYS Empire Games are enforcing the new rules. As for the Champion Occluder---make a mark on the post and measure 15mm. on either side---use a square and draw lines---take a pair of Fiskars scissors and cut them. As for the blinders---it's...

Try USA Shooting--order by phone---get the number from their website. However, you must purchase the entire set as I do not believe they sell them individually.

FP Changes
While I have seen many a good shooter do quite well with a "Standard" Pistol on the FP course, other good shooters with a suitable FP do better in the long run. That target is a bitch by any stretch of the imagination and at 50 metres (yards) I think it is "easier" than the equiv...

Center Fire Pistols
While I will agree wholheartedly about the FAS---if you are handy and can work with this gun--it is a winner. I have owned a Pardini HP for the better part of 5 years---the trigger is the finest---the gun is the most reliable and I must say that I shoot more than 2500 rounds through it in bullseye a...

Nice pix Patrick, and thanks for taking the trouble to post these. I particularily like the views of the various stances of the FP & AP shooters--to see what's going around in the minds of the coaches re: stance theories. This helps me try "new" ideas as well as pass them on in coachin...

Knee Pains
Yes I had knee pains as a growing boy, and I have them now as a "more mature" (old) man, especially when getting out of the kneeling position. All of what has been said about knee pains with child and adult shooters---from periods of time spent in the kneeling position is quite true. Of co...

Not just a beginner
Hey that gun is capable of shooting quite fantastic scores---I have a friend that uses it strictly for Standard Pistol and he shoots in the 570's ++. It is a winner as are most of the Russian made guns we can buy today. I have an IZH over-under in 12ga. and let me tell you it has taken a lot of phea...

Pardini K22
Just the name Pardini is enough to engender confidence in any pistol made by these people. There are quite a few around and I have not heard one complaint about the gun. From the limited use I had to use one the entire mechanism and trigger were quite good---IMHO as always.

I see that some persons afformentioned have admitted that these pants provide artificial "support" ---the argument is opened and closed right there. No further word is necessary---ISSF does not want this artificial "support" quite apparently---doesn't mean they are right or wrong...

Back Brace or Pants??
IMHO---I coached Juniors--High Schoolers--for the better part of 22 years and Collegegiate shooters for 9 years---during that time I saw the evolution of jackets, gloves, shoes (boots), slings, rifles, sights, opticals etc. etc. The technical and mechanical evolution of shooting equipment almost alw...
