fc60/Dave,
Good reply. I was coming from the opposite direction. Horses versus zebras when one sees a hoof print.

Re: IZH-35M recoil spring
How many coils, the spring outside diameter and what is the wire thickness would be good info for people looking to see what might match up.

Re: 1990 Walther OSP grip question
What was strange to me was the part of the grip that the palm and the fingers wrap around had an airfoil profile. No finger ridge, no palm swell, no finger grooves.
I have since carved the grip to fit my hand better.

1990 Walther OSP grip question
I recently acquired a used Walther OSP that I wasn't very interested in (due to being chambered in 22 Short) with the sale of a pistol I was interested in. The OSP came at a low enough price where I figured I could use the frame to cobble up a GSP if I ran across any GSP parts bargains. It turns out...

Re: Do We Need Separate Men's and Women's Events
In Georgia USA competitions we let everyone compete in the 50 meter pistol competitions. (AKA Free Pistol)
Too bad ISSF didn't do the same.

Add me to the list that hopes Igor/Ruig is doing well. While I really liked his technical posts and insight into the Russian competition shooting community, I also liked how intrepid he is. He really took paths that most of us would be hesitant to follow.

Any Interest in 50 Meter Pistol at Griffin Georgia USA
I was approached by a local range manager of the Griffin Gun Club in Griffin, Georgia, USA that they would soon have an outdoor 50 Meter 22 range operating. This may lead to being able to schedule 50 Meter Pistol matches, which we have shot as a mixed event in the past alongside NRA Bullseye Regiona...

Re: Is it just me or is this forum slowly dying ?
The irony being that if you read the old books on combat shooting, they all advised a solid grounding in the precision disciplines. ISSF and Bullseye are the equivalent of ballet - they lay a rock-solid foundation on which to build, whatever direction you take. I noticed that too in the older books...

Go to https://www.larrysguns.com/ first and read all ordering instructions. Then go to https://www.larrysguns.com/Departments/Products/Parts-and-Accessories/FONT-SIZE3-COLORBLACKB-TOZ-35BFont.aspx and look for the TOZ parts you need. Jim also has sear springs in stock. There is a very good laminated...

Re: A question about a Khaidurov Hr30 ? A "what" you say ?.
Oh that grip has some nice details for the forefinger and thumb knuckles. I wish my AW93 had the same contour as the below barrel weight. That always looked sporty instead of the square FWB front.

Re: How do you dispose your pellets?
I give mine to whichever commercial bullet maker that shoots with us shows up first. Both have offered to pay me but I am just happy to recycle the stuff. I should mention they give me a good-guy price on their bullets, which shoot great. The first couple of times I tried to carefully get rid of tar...

Re: Shooting with contacts
A nice datapoint Gwhite. I shoot with soft permeable contacts and a few blinks are part of the shot process. I abort the shot if everything doesn't come together when I land in the aiming area rather than try to hold and dress things up. Are contact lenses AND shooting glasses with a correction lens...

Air and Cartridge Pistol shooting in Germany
I have had a guest from the European Union who has shown a strong interest in target shooting and has really applied himself to making small groups with any pistol handed to him. It is a real pleasure to see him stop, clear the pistol and dry fire to work out a problem. We have been working on 10 me...

Re: Is Free pistol still in the world championships ?
I'd rather see a mixed 50 Meter Pistol than the Mixed Team Air Pistol or Rifle events. In our regional events we shot Free Pistol as a mixed event and everyone had a good time.
