Re: Colt 1911 45 ACP Gold Cup National Match
Thanks to all. I appreciate the advice.
I have not shot a 45 in a match yet.
Lord willing that will happen next spring.
No, I am far from being a master.
I am enjoying the RO.
Sorry if I offended anyone.

.22 rim fire pistols can be finicky. What shoots in my pistol may not shoot in another of the same brand. My M41 loves Remington SV and Eley but does not operate with CCI SV or Federal Premium. I have a 6# recoil spring I may try. The factory springs are 7.5# I believe. I bought mine used from a loc...

For Ben
When I raise the pistol...any pistol...anytime, finger begins to find its way to the trigger. When I lower it finger comes off the trigger. It is habit. I think it is a good, safe one. While loading finger is straight out. No where near the trigger. Will I ever become a champion shooter? I doubt it....

I have to say...
that if I saw anyone putting their finger on the trigger until they were ready to shoot I'd definitely would say something. If they continued, I'd leave never to return to that league. Yiogo

Staple Gun
I use an Arrow staple gun. All metal. I inherited it from my Dad. It served him well. It takes T-32 staples. Like all tools you get what you pay for. I imagine Dad paid quite a bit for it. Yiogo

Interesting
Personal preference...I guess. I was thinking about the Model 41 but didn't like the trigger. I like the trigger on my Mark 111 more and the trigger on M4 is outstanding and is even adjustable. That's why you have to handle each pistol and decide for yourself. Yiogo

Grips
I looked into upgrading the grips for my Mark III Target but did not. I did buy the Ruger grips with the thumb rest and was happy with those. I recently added 3/8" strips of tape around the bottom to make a pinky rest...small enough so as not to interfere with the main spring housing. If you bu...

Pistols
I love my Ruger Mark III. It's a bit heavy at 3 lbs with a red dot. I just bought a used Walther/Hammerli Mark 4 and would like to shoot that without a dot. Lord willing I hope to buy the accessory weights to tame the muzzle flip for sustained fire. Yiogo

Remington R1 for Bullseye
I was planning to use my R1 for Bullseye. I was planning to use it stock. I may put on adjustable sights (dovetailed) Or I may put on a scope mount for a red dot. That Clark mount looks like a possible solution with a red dot scope. I'm planning to shoot 230 gr ball and don't figure to start reloadi...
