Re: Cleaning bloop tube/tuner

I use a tuner cleaner on the bloop tube, It takes three or four large shotgun patches to get it tight enough, Add enough gun scrubber or brake cleaner to dampen the patches . Just push in and twist, Its the crown clean as well as the tube and I dont have to remove the tube.

Re: Hand falling asleep

Arm was said to be correct," by a once was 7 time all american"
same way Id shot years ago without pain... Scores were good 96 average "USA 50" .99-100 NRA A-17... I just couldnt shoot more then two targets in an evening. If I pushed to three, Id hurt for near a week...

Re: Life of a match barrel

Sorry folks I got behind here on answering... Yes it was Eley ammo "black box". And the scratching goes all the way through on bottom, As expected worse at the breach, less toward muzzle but its there..

Re: Life of a match barrel

I wont disagree with whats been said... Eric was correct with ammo being abrasive. Its the powdered glass in the priming compound, It falls t the bottom of the barrel, you will notice a scratching with a bore scope at six o'clock after as few as a couple brinks of ammo.. Best to run one loose patch ...

Re: New Rifle Cleaning

Personally I like the Dewey coated rods, But keep it wiped off between patch runs. And I dont like reversing the brush inside the barrel. Rather short stroke a little JB in the lead if carbon or lead has built up..
