Re: Air rifle online competitions sought

Vt Postal league is in its 8th week out of 10 weeks. 400 point Standing air rifle. Good question , if there are others, my guess is yes. I would do more postal matches if I searched, need to, and found some more. There are other fun shoots, submit what you get each week or so, on rimfire central, ha...

Perfect timing, as CC just got their 2024 FWB shipment of air rifles, 3 days ago.
The Anschutz shipment came in a few weeks ago.

Re: Reasonable expectations air rifle

Remembering 1988 and after a small bore match, someone let me try their fwb601. I think I still have those 1st targets. Approx 70 to 79 standing. I recall thinking, wow this is tricky. A few months later and I had a 601. From there it took several months for me, to settle down and learn to completel...

Feinwerkbau 2024

I placed an order for a Feinwerkbau thru CC. At the time, was told the item was shipped at the beginning of January , so it is likely that it is in US Customs, so wait time approx 1 week. One week goes by, and I called CC, now am told the boat never left Germany, and is most likely leaving now, via ...

Got the weights first, next will be the 900??
2(160) +5(115)=895g, 900 =4500g, So 5395 g total, a good place to start for me.

Re: Spoting scope for 10 meters?

Am waking this thread up with one change, I am Air Rifle 10 meters shooting at paper target, AR-5/10, length x width = 10.5" x 12", would like to see entire target in the field of view, plus a bit of wiggle room. Am finding the old physics book for the field of view equation.

Re: New to diopters on rifle, eye strain concerns.

Eye strain topic, 10 m standing indoors, my recent past, have been continuously shooting 21 months now, at first it was 5 eves a week, for approx last 12 months am shooting 7 eves a week. At first my eyes would get tired , fuzzy at 40 to 50 shots, and I would stop there. After 6 months, I could shoo...

Re: Which Globe

Score high end crystal (glass aperture )3.8mm ID x 1.0 mm ring width. One night with it, and I really like this thin ring. One question, Is there a Gehmann or any one else for availability , a poly carbonate fwb 22mm in 3.8 mm ID with a 1.0mm ring thickness or close, thin. I seem to remember some on...

Re: FWB 900

Seeing lots of 900's here at the RIAC 2023. The FWB manual download, has all the info on the adjustability of the 900. It appears that the 900 has all the 800 has and more. Trigger upgrade, and I am not sure of any thing else of an ugrade, ? ... any one please. https://www.facebook.com/media/set?van...

Re: front sight....

Had a good session with the 3.8mm, Had been using the stock 4.0mm that came with the 800x, I think that 4.0mm has been holding me back. After a few shots with the 3.8mm, I started to remember how much I liked it from previous years, for so many reasons. The 3.8mm is more exacting, more demanding, mo...

Re: front sight....

Am waking this thread up, I am experimenting with standard clear 4.0 x 1.3, 3.8 x 1.3, with the score crystal, and going to get High End Crystal in either or all, 4.0 x 1, 1.2, 3.9 x 1.1, 3.8 x 1.0 I still see very well, at close to 40/20 , an have good duration after 1 hr 30 minutes, and still stro...

Re: Budget precision rifles

2 or 3 years ago, there was a rule change for fabric thickness, the new change is for a greater thickness, look it up and see. I got a new pair of Gehmann pants that are being called "double thick". I like them very much. I also have the Anschutz leather coat, I will pm you with some info ...

Re: Which Globe

This one fit, measured as 0.530 long distance, but as picture shows , the long distance is elevated, had a good solid feel when mounting it.
I need some time with the horizontal wires, to see if I want to use them or take them off.

Re: Which Globe

Phone call made to vendor, who measured a 22 score crystal fwb front sight, his #s were 0.520" long, and 0.425" short, this should work, vendor covered swap shipping both ways, easy.
