Thanks BigBen for your update, however when these rifles were sold in the UK in 1969-1970, they were certainly advertised as Vostok MTS12, but heyho, that is a long time ago and maybe they were exported under the brand you mentioned for whatever reason.

I remember having a similar accessory box with my Vostok MTS12 rifle when it was new in 1970. Great value for money at the time.

You may find that the trigger sensor has been preset for the lower trigger pressure used on rimfire rifles. I presume that there may be a way in the software to reset the base trigger pressure to a higher value so that pistol trigger pressure can be recognised.

It does depend on your eyesight and the amount of lighting that you have on the target. Younger eyes are probably able to get enough of a contrast to see the sights against the black background of the aiming mark, whilst the rest of us need as much visual help and contrast as possible.

I used to for many years and then changed to sub 6 o'clock.

You could try running the laptop in compatiblity mode, that might work. I used to like the features on Rika, but gave up and acquired a Scatt three years ago.

I use one of these regularly when shooting on our indoor range in the winter and on the 50 metre range early in the year. It makes a big difference to preventing your trigger finger and hand getting too cold. Sometimes even put a small hand warmer in the glove between details to keep things cosy.

Focus on the foresight and smooth trigger control. The other items are collectively important in arriving at the point of shot release.
