Ruger Mark II won't fire....

I recently picked up a 20 year old Mark II. The internal parts had some light rust and lots of old shooting debris. I took it apart completely and cleaned it well. (I have a Mark III so I'm able to take it down and rebuild it easily.) I honed the sear a little to smooth it out and did the same with ...

Binoculars vs. spotting scope... best for the money

I've recently gotten into rifle shooting. Though I've been a competitive pistol shooter for over 30 years, rifle is quite new to me. I'm looking to see what is best to view my target shots at up to 200 yards. Are a good pair of binoculars as good as a spotting scope? I'd like to get a reasonable ide...

Late model Smith "Targetmaster"

I have an old (Late 1960's) Smith Targetmaster. The last owner changed the front sight for silhouette shooting. I'd like to get a partridge sight so I can shoot bullseye. Where can I find such a sight? I've spoken to Smith directly..... and because they no longer make the revolver, they can't get a ...

Trigger issue with GSP Expert

Good evening.... I have just purchased a pre-owned Walther GSP Expert. I've shot for many years and safely say this hasn't seen many rounds at all. The grips are sill clean. The trigger is the issue. Sometimes it's two stage, sometimes single stage and a few times felt like much more than the 2 1/2 ...

Mossberg Silver Reserve...

So many different reviews! I put a deposit on a new one..... "fully loaded".... nice recoil pad, adjustable comb, high rib, mid bead, extended choke tubes, it looks beautiful... The question is..... will it last? Lots of reviews about broken firing pins.... most are posted before 2007........

Can we talk holsters? Polymer? Leather? Nylon?
Just for range carry. Polymers are inexpensive, but will they mar the finish? I'm not a big fan of the nylon as they tend to be abrasive...

I've got some 147 gr semiwadcutter loads with 3.7 gr powder that make the gun operate with light recoil.... I started with 4.7 grains, but cut back, avoided the recoil and didn't lose any accuracy

Thanks everyone. After some more research and speaking with a number of people at the club...... I went for the CZ SP01. I am not disappointed. I found one new at my local shop for $649..... It shoots great, has nice action and fantastic grips. My friend loaded some 147 gr bullets with 3.7 grains fo...

9 mm "competitiion" type steel plate gun

Good evening! I'm in the market for a 9mm. I did shoot some steel plate matches and combat matches years ago and would like to get back into it. I'm looking for something that I can shoot fairly well out of the box. The CZ SP - 01 keeps coming up. I can get a new one from my local guy for around $65...
