5 shot air pistol target system

Hi all,

I´m looking for ideas on a 5 target turning system for air pistol.
Something that I can DIY, or commercial products that I can take ideas from.

Thanks!

Re: Black powder gun

For target shooting, under MLAIC rules, you want a close frame revolver. The two best are, in my opinion, the 1858 Remington New Army and the Roger's&Spencer revolver. Davide Pedersoli makes a reproduction of the 1858 https://www.davidepedersoli.com/en/product/remington-pattern-revolver-pedersol...

Re: cross training .177 .22 and .32

Mike, think of it this way:

Air pistol = karts
25m 22lr = nascar
25m CF = rally
50m free pistol = F1

If you can drive a kart very well, you can drive anything else...

Someone from the US can give you more details on the specific range, but were are my "general" recommendations. I may be forgetting something, but this will get you on the right track... Find PirateJohn and talk to him. Someone with experience in the venue can answer a lot of your doubts. ...

Re: Steyr LP2 - trigger blade change

It depends on how your trigger is setup. If the bar that it attaches to doesn't move much it may be difficult to remove. Loosen and remove the screw on the trigger. Press the trigger and hold the bar at that position, and then try to remove it. If it's not enough, loosen the trigger stop to let the ...

Dry towel and move on. The less you mess with it the better.

Re: CO2 to O2 conversion

That provides you with a nice big safety margin for CO2. Most of that will be gone if you try it as a PCP, and your cylinder is no spring chicken. Not worth the risk, IMHO. The conversion kits will come with a nice new cylinder, fill adapter & the regulator. Considering what you get, they are v...

So, let's dissect your questions and answer one by one: What I'd love to know is from the athletes who have shot a score of 600. Was it luck? Have you done it more than once? Current World Record is 594 Olympic Record is 591 Most international competitions end with the top shooters at 580+ So no, no...

Re: Best brand of AP for the long term cost (US)

Since top brands are equally good in quality, equally priced (some cheaper than others, but all a big chunk of money) and equally precise, for me it comes down to maintenance. I had problems finding spares for older models on most brands except Steyr and Feinwerkbau. So my bet is on them. Hope this ...

Rink in Germany:

Small grip on a TOZ-35 will be difficult because of the metal frame and cocking arm.

Re: LP10E misfire

Hi srgfctG, As with all things electronic, start by replacing the battery. If after replacing it the pistol still misbehaves, then consider the rest of the components. Having a friend that has a similar pistol from who you can borrow pieces, will help a lot in diagnosing the problem. Hope this helps

Re: Is it likely that a .32 S&W long wadcutter can be reloaded on a progressive?

This mimics my experience. The reason why I don't reload the .32 S&W Long Wadcutter progressively is the powder charge. Sure, it can be done and it goes bang, but from a ransom rest the story is very different. And before anyone says it, yes, I can't shoot as well as a ransom rest, however, havi...

Re: Shooting competition attire

Hi Whizzzz Regarding clothes, it depends on were you are shooting. Some clubs/macthes have a more relax approach than others. In respect to the rules, check 6.7 and 6.22 for a full information on what you can or not wear. Jeans are not allowed by the rules, but check in with the club first and ask. ...

Pistol trigger setup is a very personal thing, hence there is no right or wrong answer. It depends on what works for you. That been said, rapid fire and slow fire require two different setups: - For rapid fire, most people want a minimum travel of the trigger with the shortest reset possible. Usuall...

You are just overthinking it.
Put them on and screw in. Snug, not tight.
To remove them, unscrew and if needed twist them off.

Re: Benelli .22 Magazine Maintenance

Good info. Here are my two cents: From my experience, it's the dirt in the magazines that make them fail. My explanation is that they can't keep up with the bolt velocity. Once clean, most problems tend to go away. Feed angle is only a problem if the round is presented way up/down, but also left/rig...
