Surely after 15-20 minutes the whole gun will start to get warm?

Re: Best Product to Build up Grips?

I find Sugru slippery. Maybe you could embed some grit in it, I don't know. Yes it is a bit slippery. going all over the surface with a no.1 Posidriver will stipple it, as with the other molding materials. Or cover it in coarse salt when you grip it for the final time before letting it set. Then wa...

Re: Question about "clicking"

We did a blind test. We shot to confirm point of impact. Then while continuing to grip the AP we turned our head while someone else adjusted the sights not telling us what they did. The point of impact changed the amount and direction you thought it would. BUT during this exercise we also told the ...

Re: iOS shot detection apps?

If it's for training purposes then an audio recording program & a copy of Audacity (or similar) should do it. Unless you're in need of microsecond timing. Easier if you have an audio signal to time the first shot off, but the principle would be: load in the waveform, cursor over the spike that r...

Successfully funded. I'd imagine that it will be on open sale fairly soon, if you missed out on backing it.

Targetscan: for Android

The iOS app may finally be ported to Android. There is a kickstarter campaign to this effect by the app creator. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/767526228/targetscan-app-for-android You use your phone camera to score & do stats for group size etc. I've backed it but I'm not otherwise affili...

Re: Which beginner pistol to practice with?

I can recommend the Gamo Compact, although I'm not sure how much it retails for in the US. The trigger's not great, but the grip and sights are excellent. I started with a P17 and I wouldn't recommend it at all. Lousy grip, sights and trigger. Good luck. If you're going to get one then invest the t...

Re: Reduced distance AP targets

This might help Not everybody has the (safe) room to shoot at airgun targets at the regulation distances. Nice as it is to take shots at a full sized target at reduced distances it's not quite the same as being able to say how well you are doing in comparison to people shooting the real distances. T...

Re: Pistol mods

You could cover it in coarse salt while it's still soft. Let it harden & then give it a wash - the salt disappears & you get a nice rough surface left behind.

Epoxy, sprinkled in coarse salt. Once it's dry just use water to remove the salt grains.

Try Chairgun2 - which will help by doing the maths for you.

You'll not only need the bottle size, but the deadspace volume of your filling apparatus.

You could always make your pellet trap to suit your own specifications.
Mine was a bit over-engineered, but will take abuse from pistols & rifles with no hint of a pellet getting close to the back plate, let alone passing through.

These are the averages for the last year that the person competed in the league. I.e. the average of between 180 & 360 shots for each person. there are 203 different people's data in the histogram. There are grouping artefacts in the bars - which represent a range of 5 points scored on average. ...

Score distributions

I've seen a few threads here from people trying to find out what is "normal" for their scores. The users here & the results of physical competitions aren't necessarily helpful in judging this & I've yet to find an equivalent of the archery handicap tables in the public domain. (I'm...
