Re: Daisy 853 losing pressure after about 30 shots
Not so dumb! But yes, they are well-oiled. This seems (to me, at least) to potentially be a problem with some part warming up from the compression since it consistently occurs during a session after about 30 shots. I inspected everything I could get a look at with them completely disassembled, looki...

Daisy 853 losing pressure after about 30 shots
Hi All, Hopefully someone can help me out here. Our team has two Daisy Avanti 853s that shoot fine up until 30-50 shots have been taken. Then we start getting occasional weak shots - they sound funny, and the pellet hits way low. I have used a chronograph to check, and I'm seeing some pretty large v...

Re: What is included angle on P70 Feinwerkbau dovetail?
It is 30 degrees off the vertical. I used a 60 degree gage on one side to check (so the included angle of the dovetail is 60 degrees, 30 per side). Hope that makes a bit more sense...

Re: What is included angle on P70 Feinwerkbau dovetail?
Just saw your post. Confirm 30 deg per side- just measured my P70. Used a precision angle block to check (I'm also a toolmaker).

Mike

I checked the website and it looks like the matches are for junior shooters. Unfortunately, I'm long past my junior days! It seems not many places run matches for adults, at least not ones that are publicized. Thanks for the info - I will contact the club and see if they can give me a bit more infor...

Air rifle in St. Louis, Missouri area?
Hi All,
Does anyone know of any international air rifle matches or leagues near St. Louis? By near I mean within 150 miles or so - though I would drive farther to get to a match.
Thanks!
Mike
