I have not counted, but I think it takes me about 40 strokes to go from 100 to 200 for my P44 short (I also have the 4 stage pump).

Yeah, I'm not going to even attempt to claim to understand all the adjustments this pistol is capable of. I know I can add weight to the front of the barrel to help stabilize the sights. I was looking on Walther's website & they have a design your own AP/AR application. They show 2 trigger conf...

I've started shooting after a break of about 5 years :D, I used to shoot with the drop to 6 approach and as far I can remember when I stopped I was rather average, between the 550-565 range :D. I suppose the drop to 6 also lets to determine where the black stops and the white begins with less of a ...

It fits the breathing process before the shot. You fill your lungs with air as you raise the pistol. Then you release 1/3 when you lower to aiming area.

There are grips (eg Rink) that come with angle to better suit your situation. Look at their web site. I also read that it is possible to switch dominent eye, by training (basically patching the dominent eye for a long period). They say the brain can be trained to switch.

Hi Brian, The things I wrote were based on my own personal experience and perspective. For me it was nice to still be able to score OK and feel rewarded with inprovements in my technique with the base pistol. With the competition pistol, it was less forgiving, and more difficult to feel incremental ...

The point about starting with the Röhm, is that it is easier to shoot with then any of the shorter competition models. Trigger weight ca 1000 and sight radius of 220 mm can not be found on any competition AP. Its ease of use allowed me to work on the shot process to a certain base level, without bei...

No, I get where you are coming from. I just didn't know if the guns were that more fine tuned between the entry & the Olympic style match pistols. I know all these pistols can out shoot the shooter from what I have read. How much "toleration" is there between the Twin Master & the...

I dont think it will be a consensus. But if money is on no issue, do like I did and buy both. Feel which one is easier to start with and learn the basics. After you have the basis, sell the basic pistol. What I meant with the original reply, is that it is easier to learn the basics and establish a s...

Hi new shooter, I am also new, been shooting AP for a few months now. My experience is that it was easier to start with a basic AP, that has a short line of sights. I started with a Röhm twinmaster trainer. I found that with this pistol I had more confidence in the beginning. It is easier to maintai...

FWB P44 sight adjustement question

Sorry if this is a silly question. I just dont understand the manual The manual says: Sighting adjustments Shooting high: ⇒ Turn the upper adjusting screw (20) into direction “H”. Shooting low: ⇒ Turn the upper adjusting screw (20) into direction “T”. Shooting right: ⇒ Turn the side screw (21) into ...

Thanks guys, my goal at the moment is club and regional competitions. I will try to find someone to coach me, but it seems difficult to find someone local. Is there any place in the UK/US where I could do a concentrated initial training program, and then continue with the instructor as a remote ment...

Hi Russ,
How do I set a training program, once I know my goal?

Is it best to stick with just one pistol?

What is the best way for a beginer to learn- use just one air pistol or train with several? I am a total beginer, and I have two air pistols which are very different from each other, and I find that there is always a readjustement period when I switch between them.

Hello all Since it is my first post, i should introduce myself- i am Roy, and I live in Sweden. I am new to pistol shooting, and I have been reading many of the threads here, and found most very interesting and helpful. I have a Rohm twinmaster trainer for standard pistol training and a FWB P44 shor...
