Re: Scatt USA not responding
There's been a regular supply with a UK seller for a few months now so maybe that's true and they've just had a run with whatever stock they had? An email to explain wouldn't have hurt though

Re: Tec-HRO Fanatic Forearm Width
That's a thought, and certainly a cheaper option than a new stock. I'm using a Monard Proliner right now, which seems quite stiff already. I suppose I could give something with more bulk a try though. Ah it was something like the Proliner I had in mind, I doubt you'll find much stiffer. Maybe anoth...

Morini make grip putty, available here in the UK https://www.intershoot.co.uk/product/mo ... -paste/but I'm sure Google would find somewhere closer to home

Re: Tec-HRO Fanatic Forearm Width
Have you thought about trying a different glove rather than changing the stock? A stiffer or slightly bulkier one might well solve the problem

Re: Monoframe lens making in Europe
There are a number of good shooting opticians in the UK, the easiest probably for you is https://will-188.myshopify.com/collections/target-shooting-accessories/products/order-replacement-lens-1 A better alternative but probably more difficult is to speak to Gary Alexander at Specsavers in Newbury ht...

Re: What’s the difference between the Grunig GO, XRS, and RS stocks?
You've got most of it but of note the GO can also with the aid of a part have the offset of the butt be changed between something like +7mm to -7mm wit 3 settings in between as opposed to the RS and XRS being set at +7mm

Re: Reverse engineering SCATT
Someone on a UK target shooting forum built one and has the source code etc available FOC. Not all the features of the real thing but plenty good enough and probably better than the basic Scatt

Re: Monocle or Monoframe?
Just to echo Tim's comments but also if you use them the Anschutz Monoframe has a M3 tapped hole at the end which you can use to attach a blinder should you use one, simply buy an M3 wheel screw and cut a blinder out of a plastic milk bottle or similar, easy to attach without dismantling the iris/re...

In this case we can look at the Whoop as being a one way communicator, the stream of actual information is from the device to another remote device held in a bag or by the coach. As far as I'm aware there will be return data sent but only in the form of data received acknowledgements and data checks...

Re: Grunig R3 racer vs Walther kk500
I have the XRS/R3 Grunig, I moved to it from a Feinwerkbau 2700 last year, I wanted a new rifle and one with a shorter bolt so the considerations were, Grunig, Walther, Bleiker and the new Feinwerkbau. After being advised, I was lucky enough to be able to try out the first three in person, albeit wi...

Re: Horizontal Pulse in prone
I had a horizontal pulse appear from nowhere a few weeks ago, my position didn't feel right at the time but equally is didn't feel wrong. I found as I got up a brass disc nut on my mat but I didn't recognise it until I got home; it was part of my sling (Centra anti pulse) and one of the screws had c...

Re: Cateracts and seeing the target
I had them, much the same symptoms, a dark woolly directly over the target and opening the iris allowed a little more vision but without the same level of focus. Opening the iris allows diffuse light from different points on the target to reach your eye around the cataract whereas the small aperture...

Re: Shooting after premium lens replacement eye surgery?
Mike M. above mentioned the monofocal, per his Doc, is the best visual acuity. That’s what I’ve always read online. Different lens allow different percentage of light into the eye is also per research online. Medicare will pay for only needed cataract surgery and provide a set of basic lens, meanin...

Re: Shooting after premium lens replacement eye surgery?
I had both eyes done, like someone above I chose the mono focal lens as it seemed the best option for me. I have astigmatism and apparently they isn't fixed by lens replacement. Initially after getting a new prescription lens for my shooting glasses I had a near perfect sight picture but six months ...

Re: paper to electronic score improvement (25yd prone)
That's a bit of a double edged sword as when those rich members shoot a competition at a range that use paper targets they could be at a disadvantage. The way I see it though is you should be able to move between diagrams without dropping points, it's an exercise in sorting out your NPA quickly and ...

Re: Walther KK500 rod guide
Very cool! Similar to the Grunig guide but with the extra O rings and a rod specific guide which I assume needs to be removed to fit fresh patches or felts.
Top job, remember there are other actions out there that need guides too!

Re: Gehmann Diopter
I used one for a couple of years. It does the job well but with a slight dimming of the image which is only noticeable on a very dim range. Dead easy to set up, you just need your sphere and Cyl measurements from your optician, dial those in and fit it to your rearsight in the correct orientation; d...
