Amazing really if you think about it......
There are few countries with a gun culture so imbedded into it's national fabric that the USA. I find it exceptionally amazing that Olympic shooting events are not as popular as they should be IMO. In theory it's not a big stretch from NRA bullseye shooting sports. And why should all the superior ri...

Ordered THE book......
Thanks for the options fellas......and I just ordered the hardcover from barnes & noble.
Primarily because I've had past grief with amazon books.
Good to know this book is sought after. My Dad made a very good choice in 1979!

I looking for an old pistol book title from the Coles series
I'm thinking 1977-1980ish a typical paper cover book with cheaper binding from this timeframe. It was from the Coles book series, but for some reason it is not included in thier glossary of published book. The subject was Olympic style pistol shooting from an accomplished match shooter and covered a...

You'll find the epicentre of 300 mt shooting is in Switzerland. They have many ranges with electronic targets, in England we have one at Bisley. My wife and I would love to do it but Bisley is too far for us so we shoot NRA (Palma style) prone locally 300mt, 500yds and 600yds with 7.62 and 1500 gm ...

I have a 700 Varmint
Hey, off topic, you guys should check out the remington 700 series I do like my Remington 700 Varmint (LH) and ergonomically it suites me fine. However my Wichita 1375 (LH bolt LH port) with it's iron Central peep sights and the 1 in 13 twist Krieger barrel just outshoots the factory Remington by e...

Ammunition of choice?
I'm finding that for my Hammerli 150, it tends to shoot SK Standard Plus pretty darn good. Anyone else use anything different?

Well go figure!
Fre@king Olympians! I had no idea the IOC dropped it. I guess all those European videos on Youtube showing 300 meter prone centrefire rifle are all thanks to the German based ISSF.
Maybe??
Man, I am really out of touch fellas!

300 meter rifle?
Hi!
I'm just a new member here & this is just my second post.
I was a tiny bit disappointed to not see a sub-forum for 300 meter rifle here.
Is there just not enough interest in this rifle shooting discipline?
BTW, I do like this website!
Cheers.......

Hammerli 150 & light strikes
Just today I joined this forum and noticed the exact same light strike issue I once did have, with my Hammerli 150. I too suspected the firing pin spring and replaced it and also added a NIB firing pin. Light strikes continued. I was lucky enough to find a gunsmith in Calgary that once worked for Ha...
