Funny, I am in the exact situation.
I bought a cheap Pistol Rest from Amazon (One with a Trim Rubber Y to do this test and to ease Re-Zeroing).
I am actually headed out tonight to test it and I will let you know how it goes.

I bought a set of 30mm to 11mm rings from Amazon for ~$10. They are really nice for the price. They fit great on the Trailside and hold my Matchdot 2 very well. I put ~500 rounds through it no issue on the zero. I have ordered Larry's mount, so I don't have to worry about re-zeroing. I'll let you al...
