Well to each his own I guess. Although I am also in the camp which thinks the weight is too light. Unlike your musical instument, the pistol shoots pretty lethal lead so I would also be cautious from that point of view. Just be careful that your gun does not go off outside your target area else you ...

Very interesting to see Walther making substantial in-road in air pistol. I am guessing it must be the 400. Walther looked liked it had lost the plot with the 300. Steyr still holding its ground.

it is not crazy as long as you know what you want. there is a difference in just building a car and building a ferrari. check out igor's blog where he has made his own grip and electronic trigger for a Toz and a compensator for a FWB C20 multi shot CO2 pistol. maybe you would find it easier to fine ...

The shooting range in India where I shoot would make you wear safety glasses in the section where semi auto was used as they were very concerned with hot cases being ejected. All the free pistol shooters always used the same section as rifle shooters (non-auto). luckily in this range, people take ol...

Try antiperspirant for sweaty palms. I was about to suggest the same. unlike talcum powder, anti perspirants are non - slippery. if you want suggestion of brand, I use the Dove Men's care deodrant, it chucks out a non slippery powder whcih is the anti perspirant and it is non slippery. trick is to ...

The minimum shot number to have any hope of being statistically significant is 7. The three and five shot groups that are so popular are meaningless. If you shoot a bad group, then the pellet and/or gun is bad. If you shoot a good group, it means nothing at all. For my own testing I shoot 25 or 30 ...

wear ear plug and muff might help I second that. You have to double up! Foam plugs in the ears and a good set of ear muffs. I was at our indoor range last month and ended up with a guy shooting a .45 auto next to me. He was setting off my free pistol when he would shoot. It was very dangerous and c...

Go for

RWS Hobby, RWS R10 and H&N Finale Match. That should be enough for a first time try out. chances are you will not see any difference in grouping even thought they vary in cost.

When I was choosing my first pistol, I looked at it in 2 ways. It goes without saying that try as many as you can before you buy but what to try is always a question. I split the pistols in 1) muzzle heavy and 2)cg more closer to trigger heavy pistols. Chances are you will like either of them and no...

CROSMAN PELLGUN OIL - safe for FWB c25 and Walther CPM?

Hi All, my club has a few walther CPM-1 and FWB C25 co2 air pistols which have been lying without much use inside boxes for over 2 years now. The seals seem to have hardened. I want to re-lube the guns so that the members can start using it again. I have ordered CROSMAN PELLGUN OIL. i don't have muc...

Re: New Air Pistol Pros and Cons

I currently don't shoot much air pistol in competition but shoot a lot at home. Since I am primarily a conventional pistol shooter, I want to be able to make my air pistol as similar as possible to my conventional pistol, within reason. I currently have both an LP10 and an LP50 and for the last sev...

Apologies luftskytter, reading my post now, i realise how garbled it sounds. Should refrain from replying on a blackberry. What i meant was, when i fill the cylinder with gas, usually when i am unscrewing the cylinder after the fill from the main co2 tank, there is some residual co2 in the filler va...

Thanks yana and luftskytter for you replies. I didnot have the issue anymore yet but still working on the issue. I had just filled the cylinder and noticed that screwing it completely was a bit difficult, someone mentioned that the seals get swollen due to cold. So maybe the fit was not enough and c...

What do you mean by "new AP"? The 162 has been built pretty much unchanged (not counting small stuff like removable cylinders) since 1992... I meant by new ap, as in if you putting a new set of electronic trigger unit, more like an upgrade if are getting technical. But i prefer the electr...

I have used the electronic morini with the grip as in your photo, dont know if morini now makes it differently. But you cannot move the grip in that one, only palm shelf which i found a bit annoying from a new ap.
