Re: Stock differences: 2313 vs. 2018 ???
2213 is built for round action, 2313 is for the square action but can take a 16,18,1913 with an adapter

Re: Need 54.30 barrel tenon dimensions or replacement barrel suggestion?
You can buy shilen barrel blanks from Killough Shooting supply, they usually have them in stock. I would not buy a Ahg drop in barrel, their quality is not up there with a real US barrel maker. If going to the trouble of replacing a barrel, putting on another Ahg blank doesn’t make a lot of sense to...

Nobody will make a drop in for a threaded barrel on a custom
Action. You will need to find a gunsmith if you want to replace the barrel. Plenty great smiths in the US to choose from. Mark Penrod, Howard Pitts are two well respected smallbore smiths I have used.

If you have 33’, why not just live fire?
But if you are truly concerned between dry fire and scatt, I would use scatt as you get feedback. No feedback other than your shot call with dry firing.

Re: Prone Shooting jacket recommendations!
I worked with Robert Oberle and took his advice. I did use a suede shoulder pad instead of rubber and it seems to be working well with my buttplates.
Sleeves do nothing, I would not want them longer. My right sleeve is a little too long as is.

Re: Prone Shooting jacket recommendations!
Had a custom Thune prone coat, it worked very well. I have a Monard XTC custom coat now and it is great.
I would opt for custom if you can, they will fit your shoulders better which is very important for a prone coat.

Re: NCAA college air rifle score analysis
Equipment- the lower palma rest, essentially these are now free rifles that fit the shooters very well. Head positions are upright with higher sight blocks and the rifles are held lower for lower center of gravity. Give any of the best 600 score shooters a FWB 601, I bet their score would be sub 590...

Re: What sling would you recommend for prone?
Jenson is great, has been used by many at the AMU over the years. I have used mine for 10+ years. Self centering of the strap is great. I have a MEC sling too, used it for a full year and just never lived it. Thune slings are great, I preferred the UIT 2 version. Oberle in OK also handles the Mec sl...

Re: feinwerkbau 2800 - Gun firing while opening bolt
Sounds like a trigger issue, timing. Not familiar with that rifle, but I would start with sear engagement and learn if there is a way to add or subtract trigger placement in where the trigger mounts to the action.

Re: 2-stage Bix'n Andy trigger adjustment advice?
Call bullet central in Fargo ND, they know these triggers. I have several of them, they aren't hard to setup.
Set the seat first, then first and second stages. sear may need another tweak after you get that setup but should be good to go.

nra Smallbore prone is going on now, position was last week. Overall the ranges at atterbury are good, above my personal expectation. Housing on base is reasonable, competition is fierce, most are quite happy. 44 for prone, with another dozen plus shooting fclass. Yes this is WAY down, but young peo...

Re: Blaser 300M Rifles
No first hand experience, but a 7X55 doesn’t sound fun for 300m.
Depending on your SB stock, I would get a action block that would fit a r700, bat, or whatever action you prefer and just run a CF action in your SB stock.
Bleiker or G&E seem to be the 300m leaders.

Re: 7002 rear sight 10 to 20 click conversion?
Easy to do, you will need two ball bearings to do the conversion. Take the knob off, underneath you will need a pliers or something to hold the star knob, use and Allen wrench to loosen the screw while holding it with pliers. Then you can turn the star knob off and see how you need to add another ba...

Re: 3p new barrel - which one? Shilen, Lilja??
See the photos for my testing several years ago. 40 shot agg is what a shooter wants, no fliers. A single 10 shot group can be great but if the next one can’t repeat it then you are in a tough spot.
10xII action, 1” shilen ratchet barrel, 21” long. uptagraft tuner bloop tube. Bix&Andy trigger

Re: Need advice for lighter barrel.
Howard Pitts is a great choice, he has done highpower barrels for me and I would have no problem with him putting a SB barrel on too. He has been using Benchmark I believe, but you normally can buy Shilen blanks from Killough Shooting sports. My shilen ratchet on my SB gun hammers.

Re: NRA - ???? Did someone drop the ball?
The NRA has not supported the US palma team fully for MANY cycles, this is an amateur sport and I was on the 2019 squad. They paid some team entry fees, the rest was on us, we all expected/knew that going in. I was also fortunate to be on the US Roberts team to England in '17. The NRA paid a large po...

1" 21" Shilen ratchet, Uptagrafft tuner. Great prone rifle, but could have probably did .95". Long barrels are said to be better for Onehundred yards, but an accurate barrel is an accurate barrel no matter the length to me.
