Re: Hammerli 208 optic mount
I had Roddy Toyota drill and tap my Hammerli for a .22 tip-off rail. Worked great for an Ultradot, fixed to the barrel it was very consistent. Cost was lower much than the Larry’s mount as well.

Re: DIY tungsten weights for Pardini?
At one point I bought six tungsten rods on eBay, I think 3/8” - 1.5”. They were slightly too large diameter so @sakurama turned them down for me on his lathe. Machining tungsten is no picnic and the surface didn’t come out great (feed & speed wasn’t right I guess.) Anyway it mostly made the barr...

Re: freETarget
If you can’t find a 3D printer between friends, your library, etc there are also inexpensive online services like Shapeways. You just upload your file, specify what you’d like it made of and get it mailed. Many on target talk have printers too, I’m sure if you posted asking someone would help you ou...

Re: School me on scopes for BE
I’ve used various Ultradots over the years and still have a 1” on a backup gun.I had an Ultradot die during a match on me - not the battery, something fell apart inside. It was weird, just mounted on a .22 so it must’ve been a bad unit. Ultradot West fixed it but it was a bummer anyway. I’ll say the...

Re: Pardini SP-HP 3D printed accessories
I 3D printed a similar bracket for my Scatt Mx-02 but found that it wouldn’t reliably pick up the shot when dry-firing. Is that working for you?
I ended up just using the stock aluminum bracket with a long strap or the barrel insert mount.

Re: Pardini Questions and Answers
I just bought SPBE. They told me not to leave the chamber dry fire plug in the pistol or it will shorten the spring. If You take it out you will either have to leave it cocked or snap the trigger. Will it hurt it to snap the trigger after dry fire practice. I’ve kept mine with the dry fire plug in ...

Re: Bulleseye Corvallis Area/PCP Fill Stations
There is a Willamette Valley Pistol League that has winter matches generally from November to April. Corvallis has a team (I’m captain of the Portland team.) Portland Rifle & Pistol Club has indoor 50’ .22 2700 matches During the winter, generally once a month from October or so to April. PRPC a...

Re: Gallery Pistol Question
We have an active team of 12-ish shooters, probably average age 35 at my club in Portland. Winters we have a competition league of 8 clubs spread over 100 miles up & down the Willamette valley with similar membership.

Re: Shoulder Replacement
I had surgery for instability of my left shoulder two months ago. I had torn labrum and a bony Bankart lesion (fracture of scapula.) When moving my shoulder in certain ways it would dislocate and I had pain when extending the arm as if to shoot (though I shoot with my arm pretty flat to my shoulders...

Re: Solution For Tearing Target Holes / Tear Drops?
At my club we solved that problem by ditching the American targets & buying Kruger. Backers didn't help much and the Krugers are excellent quality & weren't more expensive.

As I understand it the whole point is that you can run 0, 2, 4, or 6 weights. Just pull some out.

Sabrina isn’t the contact for that match- Chris Alto is running the air, free, and standard pistol matches. I’ll mention this tread to him so he can reply.

Re: 22LR Dryfire training
Here’s a sketch looking at the bottom of the slide & a section through the slide & plug. Plug is orange. The back of the recess in the slide is milled differently on old vs. new model 41’s, just make it match yours. The step in the bottom of the plug is what cocks the hammer, I don’t recall ...

Re: 22LR Dryfire training
When I had a model 41 I got sick of messing with snap caps & drywall anchors. Looking online I found ideas for several other solutions, the best was a block that fits in the recess in the bottom of the slide. I don’t have one anymore, but I made several when I figured it out & handed them ou...

Aimpoints click nicely.zanemoseley wrote:Gotta love a $600 red dot without tactile clicks, I thought it was bad the Matchdot 2 has crappy clicks but at least it's only $200. The long range shooters get pissy if it doesn't feel like breaking glass with each click on a scope.

Re: Latest and greatest on targets?
I get targets for my club straight from Kruger US. They're the nice paper and have the approval seals from NRA & USA Shooting. Last I looked they aren't any more expensive than the garbage-paper targets printed in the US.
