An apology

Post by Warren »

For anybody who has tried to contact me over the past couple of weeks on the advertised cell phone, I'm sorry - reception really sucks up here... what appeared to be patchy reception never got any better even after having the phone company rebuild the cell phone.

For anybody needing help, guidance, information, whatever, I have a land line now - please feel free to call 8-4 Pacific time - 503 371 2899.

I'll be here in Salem, OR for the next 2-3 months, still working with Pilkguns of course, and enjoying the charms of the great northwest.

What are you doing up here in the fog and Mt. St. Helens?

What brings you to the Northwest? Its not a hotbed of International shooting.

And Oregon is not even real hot on bullseye. From Vancouver Wa to Eugene Or there are only 8 teams that make up a Valley gallery league. The teams are not bulging with members. (Or scores either :)

That's because all the good pistol shooters are in Washington, Jack ;-)

No really, what are you doing out here Mr. Potter? Are you shooting as well as visiting. No hot beds, but the Inland Empire postal is getting under way.

Shooting - Salem OR

Warren,

Did you meet up with any of the kids shooting with the Col Allison Team at the Four Corners Club?

Over the years they've done fairly well in 4P rifle.

Love the North West

I'm tagging along with my wife, who has a travel assignment up here for a few months. That's only fair since she's had to commute 1 hour plus to work (one way) for three years. Besides, we both enjoy traveling and seeing the country. Salem is great because it's quiet enough not to have traffic headaches, and close enough to both mountains and coast for great sightseeing.

I've started shooting with the Four Corners Bullseye shooters; when I get accepted as a member I hope to meet up with Col Allison.

And in our first outing for the season we beat both Albany and OSU off-gun in the indoor 50' league. Next month we hit Portland. It's been a long time since I've had a club to shoot at regularly, am having a blast. The Four Corners pistol team has made me feel very welcome.

Plus I believe there are State shoots coming up for both Bullseye and ISSF... hopefully I can get somewhat back into shooting shape by then.

Enjoy the northwest!

Originally from Spokane, Wa., I shot all over the northwest/Montana/and British Columbia before attending Jacksonville State U in Alabama. During my time (1992-1997) Washington and Oregon were both hotbeds for rifle shooters. The folks @ Col. Allison range were wonderful and I enjoyed shooting there. Enjoy your time and be sure to see Mt. Hood. ;)

If you get a chance, head a few hours north for some matches:
