Looking for interesting gun stories

Hi everyone,

For those of you in this group who are firearms
enthusiasts, gun owners, and supporters of the 2nd
Amendment, I'm writing to ask for your stories. Here's
what I'm doing.

As you know I'm in the midst of working on my new book
about the power of the individual. Part of this book
is a chapter about the importance of the 2nd Amendment
and gun ownership. I truly believe that gun ownership
is an essential part of both our individuality and
personal responsibility and directly tied to keeping
the government in check.
Essentially, I am writing about how gun ownership
enhances and makes possible our very individuality and
freedom. Of course, there is also the personal defense
element, the "rights" element, etc.
Part of what I am including in this book are personal
stories and e-mails I've received from listeners and
readers. My theory and experiences are one thing, but
I think presenting a story or two from others is
equally important.
So, I am asking for the submission of your
experiences, attitudes and thoughts about gun
ownership. I would like the stories to be personal,
essentially what owning a gun means to you, how it
enhances your sense of individuality, freedom and responsibility. Also, if you have a story about how your gun saved you or your family, and why the 2nd Amendment is important to you as an American, etc.
It should be as personal as possible, as short or long
as you like, but not too long!
Please know if you submit a story you are agreeing to
its publication. I will contact you if your story is
selected to see how you would like to be identified in
the story. Don't worry--I won't be identifying anyone
by first and last name. Also, if you have named your
gun, include that in the story. Whatever you like that
will let other people and families know, understand
and relate to your story.
So, I'd love to hear your stories. I want this chapter
to educate Americans about the importance of the 2nd
Amendment and how gun ownership is a key element to
our freedom, liberty, and individualism.
I believe the moment a government disarms the
citizenry, we're well on our way to a fascist state.
We must work against that happening here. And we can
resist it as long as decent people like us remain
armed and ready to defend ourselves and this great
nation.
Look forward to your stories.
Cheers
Tammy
