I have a new computer, a laptop. I tryied to use my scatt in this machine, but it has USB ports, wich I do not find in the scatt CPU. Is this an unsolvable problem?
Thanks
Guido

You should be able to find an adapter for the serial cable to plug into a USB port.

In the past people have said that they have had problems with various brands of adaptor.

I have used several different types on different machines (all with Windows XP) with no problems.

Belkin USB adaptor

My team has a Noptel, and our new ladtop did not have any serial ports either. Try a Belkin USB adaptor. It works with the Noptel as long as you boot up the computer and THEN plug in the adaptor. Seems like it MUST go in this order.

Hope this helps,
