OK, I get that it has 1907 stamped into the top of the barrel but...

This is a model 1914. A 1907 barreled action (Lighter or standard barrel) bolted into a 1914 stock. The 1914 stock is a little smaller (say 3/4 or 7/8 scale) than the full size 1913 stock. A great gun for smaller shooters!

Anschutz wrote the book on how to baffle with mountains of different numbers on actions and stocks. However, as advertised by both ANA and Champions Choice this a “1907 in a 1914 Walnut Stock.” They also still list a “1907 in Walnut Stock” which does not have the “Precise” hardware. There is also the new “54.30 in 1914 Walnut Stock” and “54.30 in Walnut stock.” It appears the manufacturer only uses 1914 as a reference to the stock that the 1907 or 54.30 is mounted in. Not sure 1914 refers to the complete rifle. I own and shoot the 1907 in 1914 Walnut Stock. Everyone is free to call them whatever they want. I call mine “ol’ Betsy” (when I shoot well)
