I have some dated 8 to 10 year old RWS and Eley ammo, bricks of it, that has the lubricant dried up and very light corrosion on the heads of some.
I even found some Eley tenex from 2006 LOL!!
My older Wolf (Made in Germany) seems fine and the heads are still lubed.
Is there anything out there I can treat these heads with to soften the wax or whatever the heck they were originally lubed with?

Greetings,
Try Pure Lanolin or Lee Liquid Alox.
Wet your fingers and spin the bullet to recoat.
I did this a while back. Yes, time consuming; but, better than tossing the ammo in the trash.
Use it for Training.
Cheers,
Dave

I have home made case lube which is 20% lanolin and 80% alcohol. Works great and evaporates quick of the cases. I tried dipping them into this but the alcohol being water based prevented the mix from even touching the dried wax.
I will try the straight lanolin and if its not good then I will look into the Lee product.

Vaseline. A pea sized dab in a bucket of 500 rounds. Shake.

I recently started using some ammo that was around 15 years old. The Lapua OSP is still excellent. The SK Standard Plus is la shotgun pattern. Lol
