How to grease LP50 loading port o-ring?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, I couldn't see an equipment board.
The Steyr LP50 manual says to grease the loading port o-ring every 1000 shots.
Is this o-ring immediately in front of the magazine between it and the barrel, or maybe behind the magazine? I can't see much looking at where the magazine goes.
If so, to grease it is the best way to put a greased cotton bud along the magazine space, and with a steady hand try to only touch the o ring?
