I moved the rear sight plate up to max as much as my LP10 allows.
I seem to shoot much better with this shallow rear sight. I am able to group shots pretty well.
But there are usually one or two really wild shots out of the ten shots group.
Is this the effect of shallow rear sight? Good grouping but pay the price of occasional wild shot?

The general recommendation is set things up so the front sight to be "square" when it's in the notch. The brain & visual system like symmetry, and square helps with that.

You also want to make sure that the front sight is ALWAYS clearly visible, no matter how big your wobble is. Lots of people try to make their rear notch narrow on the theory that they will aim tighter. As soon as the side of the front sight touches the image of the rear notch, you lose half your feedback on where thigs are, and bad things happen.

If you front sight is very short, you may be losing it if it dips to low. That will produce very bad shots.
