Hillsdale College to host 2023 USA Shooting Shotgun National Championships

COLO SPRGS, CO (May 11, 2023) – The John A. Halter Shooting Sports Education Center at Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan, is hosting the 2023 USA Shooting National Shotgun Championships May 17-28.
The annual competition will consist of skeet nationals, May 17-22, followed by trap nationals, 23-28.
The competition is also part one of the U.S. Olympic Shotgun Trials for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The match is open to all U.S. citizens who are members of USA Shooting. To become a member, visit https://members.usashooting.org/memberregistration. International competitors are only eligible to win visitor/international awards. If participation warrants an international final, it will be held after 125 targets.
International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) shooting rules and match director bulletins will govern this championship.
The new ISSF rule change, below, defining a junior will be recognized starting at the 2023 Shotgun National Championships.
Rule-3.7.4.12: Athletes will remain as Juniors until the 31st of December of the year in which they become 21 years of age. Any athlete born between the 1st of January and the 31st of December, will cease to be a Junior on the 31st of December of that year.
