Pistol National Champions Crowned

COLO SPRGS, CO (June 15, 2022) –Athletes from all over the nation competed in the 2022 Pistol National Championships at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 3-12.
Over the course of nine days, men and women competed in air pistol, rapid-fire pistol, and sport pistol to see who would be crowned national champion of each event.
In 10M Men’s Air Pistol, James Hall took home the gold medal after facing the top eight competitors in the finals. Nick Mowrer won silver, and Timothy Schmeltzer earned bronze.
In 10M Women’s Air Pistol, Alexis Lagan won gold, with Suman Sanghera finishing right behind her winning the silver medal, and Katelyn Abeln taking home bronze.
In 25M Men’s Rapid-Fire Pistol, Keith Sanderson won gold, Henry Leverett earned silver, and Nick Mowrer took home bronze.
In Women’s Sport Pistol, Katelyn Abeln earned the title of national champion. Lisa Emmert Traciak won silver, and Nathalia Tobar earned bronze.

10M Men’s Air Pistol overall junior medalists, Wesley Anderson, gold; Mark Shen, silver; Hunter Battig, bronze. U18 Men’s Air Pistol, Paul Kang, gold; David Hong, silver; Owen Murray; bronze. U15 Men’s Air Pistol, Nathan Cheng, gold; Zachary Cundy, silver; Cash Winkley, bronze.
10M Women’s Air Pistol overall junior medalists, Suman Sanghera, gold; Ada Korkhin, silver; Annabell Yi, bronze. U18 Women’s Air Pistol, Katherine Ahn, gold; Angela Yi, silver; Leah Mueller, bronze. U15 Women’s Air Pistol, Mehr Chanda, gold; Rachel Kim, silver; Anvita Sugetti, bronze.
25M Men’s Rapid-Fire Pistol overall junior medalists, Paul Kang, gold; David Hong, silver; Mark Shen, bronze. U18 winner, Adney Dong and U15 winner, Nathan Chang.
Women’s Sport Pistol overall junior medalists, Katherine Ahn, gold; Ada Korkhin, silver; Annabell Yi, bronze. U18 Women’s Sport Pistol, Suman Sanghera, gold; Angela Yi, silver. U15 Women’s Sport Pistol, Mehr Chanda, gold; Kylie Wells, silver.
