How damaged is too damaged regarding the tins?
Out of a full sleeve that was received today, 5 tins are gravely deformed.
So how deformed can a tin be and the pellets still be within spec??

I've found deformed pellets in even slightly dented tins. I use a "shaker box" to organize my pellets, and a quick scan of the skirts will identify any damaged ones.

Most Airpistols with a loading lever will reshape the skirt as they load and make bent pellets usable.
Just don't use them in a competition....

Good advice. I usually order my pellets from Pyramid Air. They package them very well. I've only have one tin over the years with any deformed pellets and that was likely not due to shipment to me from Pyramid. That tin wasn't damaged at all.

I use a cheap ballpoint pen with removed stem to reshape oval skirts. You have to pick a pen with the right shape tip, easy to find.
