Hello all
I just got myself a classic Walther LGR
I've been shooting air pistol for a long time
I'm not planning on competing by any means
Just backyard shooting for fun
I'm about to put an order with champion's choice and would like some advice on what pellets do I need to get for air rifle
At this time I use RWS Meisterkugeln for my pistols
Just looking for brand/choice of pellets for AR
Thank you

RWS R10 seems to be a very popular choice ... I would start with that.

In my LGR, I found that .177 pellets worked best.

Hard cheese then, I guess.
I suppose as a last resort you could try your Meisterkugelns.

I got the Diabolo-Pellets, made for Champions Choice. They are good enough for me in my basement range, using a 50+ year old Feinwerkbau. Less expensive than the other high end match pellet offerings. And available at the time I needed them.

Since I was and still shoot mostly for fun, I was advised to not spend the extra $$$ on top line match pellets.
I am still using my stash of Vogel Sport that I got from Pilkingtons, when they were making the Vogel pellets.
I cannot outshoot the pellets. So they are more than good enough, for me.
I suggest getting a tin of the various pellets and see which one shoots best in YOUR rifle.
- You can start with what you are shooting in your AP.
- RWS Basic is another option.

The vintage match air rifles (recoilless springers and SSP) prefer pellets in the 7.5 g or less category. As others have written above, no need for the high dollar varieties - RWS Basic are cheap and cheerful for your purposes. If, however, you want to reach out beyond 10M for plinking, JSB Exact makes a light weight dome which has aerodynamic benefits over the flat-faced wadcutter pellets designed for paper punching.
Caution - these are my 1.5 cent opinions.

Your experience vary according to your weapons.
I prefer JSB Match 4.52 on my Steyr LGB-1
However, I also like H&N Sport 4.50. Since the H&N is the cheapest out there while still has good quality. this is the one which I use the most.
I have R10 4.49, but only use them for the pistol. It is decent on my FWB 700. However, I still prefer the JSB, while purchasing H&N.
I shoot between 60 to 80 a day. So I pretty much figure out which pellets make which weapon happy.

Plus one on the Champions Choice pellets. They are maybe not the absolute best but they are not junk either and are priced well. There are more expensive pellets out there but why bother for our level of shooting. There are cheaper pellets out there too but then you are never sure if it's you or the rifle.

" So I pretty much figure out which pellets make which weapon happy."
Well, Conradin, I hope you're sniping winos under the bridge with your "weapon." For myself, I prefer paper targets for my match guns and I don't give a shit whether they're happy.
