The H 150 is at the brink of obsolesence, badly outdated / overrun by the Morini CM 84, and a couple of other makes. The mechanical trigger of the H 150 had a habit of becoming less reliable with extended use.

Your first offer was $ 1300, then $ 1175 is a bargain.

Btw, does this sales ad of yours belong in this section of the forum? There is a "Buy, Sell, Trade"-section at this forum for that.

The 150 is certainly better made than a Toz 35. They won medals in their day.
Never heard they were unreliable.

Sorin Babii won his medal with the toz35. he told me himself, last autumn.

I have both. I shoot both. The fit and finish on the 150 is clearly better. The trigger on the TOZ is clearly better.
I score better with the TOZ because we get along better. The pistols are a toss up as far as which is more reliable.
The 150 will lock up and not eject and the TOZ will do light primer strikes every now and again. Light strikes respond to
a quick nylon brushing. The 150 lockup ends the day.

Luckily for me my 150 has never locked up. It has been nothing but reliable for 25 years.

My totally unsolicited $0.02 - I'd take the TOZ over a 150 every time. Hämmerli is better finished, and the out-of-the-box grip is superior. But grips are made to be fitted to the shooter. And fine finish is of zero value if I'm slugging it out on the firing line....

Could be a fair statement, but hard to prove by anyone...

Backyard range scores probably do not count in regard of evaluating free pistols.
The TOZ 35 was popular by top shots for many, many years, and statistics may prove it to be the winner of more WC and OG medals than any other gun.
Since the introduction of the CM 84 the TOZ has taken a back seat.

Free pistol firing in backyards? 50 m? Perfect scores ya say? 100 pts out of 100? Or an unbeatable 600 out of 600? That´s impressive, be it a Haemmerli 150 or any other gun.
Have yet to see any perfect score fired with a free pistol anywhere. 99 out of 100, once every few years (not me), but 100 out of 100 in a backyard, at 50 m? Impressive masters of handgunning tooting pistols in those backyards of yours.

According to my memory a perfect 10 shot score of 100 pts was achieved in WC some years back. But which model of free pistol was used?

Ragnar Skanaker fired a 100 (10/10) in Melbourne.
He used a Hämmerli 152, the electronic trigger version of the Hämmerli 150.

You have me curious. Where did you get that target and photo, it appears taken off your wall and laying on your couch, or are you actually Ragnar?

There's a large file version of that photo on there.

The text in the frame reads:

"A score of 100/10 in free pistol (at 50.m.t) shot by Mr. Ragnar Skanaker, (Olympic Champion and three times world champion) on the range of the Melbourne International Shooting Club, 20 th. Dec. 1986."

By the way, if it matters, the free pistol used to win the most Olympic medals is(are) the Hämmerli 100 series. (At least, that was the case up to a few years ago, which is as late as I have records.) They were used for one or two "clean sweeps" (all three medals) as well. Also used by Joe Benner for America's only Gold in FP.
It's still a great pistol. They didn't stop working just because something else came along! :-)

Actually Ragnar used a model 150 that had been converted to an electronic trigger. This was long before the 152 came to be. He preferred an extremely light trigger weight and my guess is the mechanical trigger proved to be too prone to accidental discharges. If I remember correctly, he liked his trigger at under 10 grams. I have no idea what model he is holding in this picture, but when I crossed paths with him he was shooting the converted 150.

Hey, thanks for that info! Maybe his early efforts convinced Hämmerli to introduce the 152?

If the target in Melbourne was shot in 1986, I wonder if he used the converted 150 or a later 152?
