I found it was an extremely exciting weekend of qualifiers - Each of the top 5 teams shot over 4700.
The Championship should be equally competitive.

I'll give Memphis KUDOs as well. They were only 2 points off with a 4698 - a team record!

A great weekend

I really miss the days when the rifles were in wooden stocks with just maybe that cheek piece and butt stock being adjustable. I shot Division III and I wonder how I would do with one of the space guns that they are using today. Yes call me a troglodyte but when it became an equipment race by the manufacturers abetted by the coaches and shooters I just can’t see it as the current guns are not real small bore rifles i.e. wooden stocks. They are projectile propelling machines, not rifles. I am certain there are a lot of threads about this topic so I’ll just say nuff said.

I prefer my Anschutz to a long bow or javelin, (pre arms race days). Don’t underestimate the countless hours of training and new methods of coaching/training making these athletes what they are. Give one of those machines to 99.9 % of the population and they would be unsuccessfully trying to hit a squirrel with it.
On a side note, AMU tried 3P with Hellfires but target frame only lasted for one shot.
Congratulations to the Teams. I can’t wait for the results!

Now I'm bummed - even though NCAA is allowing sports to have spectators at 25% capacity, the rifle folks have moved the match from the fieldhouse back into the range ... no spectators.

Maybe the FH is not avail because of COVID ---- anyway ----- Have a great match athletes.

Notice ... I have to do the following:
GBR!
